What age is too old?

Especially for defenders that do not grow quality so much from the games gain quality, max age for me is 24.

Same for attackers, but as they can develop easier through season, if they are great performers it can go till 26-27.

Unfortunately I do not enough in-game resources, to maintain a solid 7* star team (which is my season target) and keep star old players.
At least last 5 season I sell them at the right time/at the right price so I have room to experiment and spend some tokens trying to find the ideal replacement.

It doesn't or shouldn't depend on age it should depend on what their star rating is.

Simple answer: when he retires.

Take a look at my old man... This guy will retire in my team... even if he drops to 54%.

not too much coz he almost take MOM for every match, now if i want return back to 9* then only need around 200 green

I would say 26-27 is the limit.

I think the MoM doubles his skill gains. AFAIK The doubling is already included in the gains displayed in the after-match report.

PS. not promoting in higher levels of course helps
