What does the "Team Captain" even do in this game!

I should note that I'm an android player.

OK so we can choose our 1st captain and 9 other VC (just in case the ebola virus hits your team lol) but really what does he do. He's never mentioned in the match or after the match and there is no sign indicating who the captain is during the game. I think the captain should have some qualities like his morale should always be high (that's one of the main duties of a captain IRL) and he should be able to influence a little bit his players during important matches, like a boost in morale, condition or possession. In my observation the team captain is just nominal and does nothing.

Yep, the position is there for the sake of realism.

I would hope this to change in the future as I lean towards your suggestion @KenoticFC. Wouldn't mind if the Captain had some influence over the team.

If you want to win a game, you have to assemble min. 22 players over 5* and hope that luck falls upon you

If you want to improve that have him added the leadership attribute. That is the only way it can hopefully work.

It does absolutely nothing, like everything else in TE. In other games it raises morale and possession and should be given to more experienced players. Just not in this one
