League: Tied for 1st in the mini-competition. It's really odd that we benefit more from winning the mini-competition than winning the league. Anyways, its a great add so have to give Nordeus kudos for that.
Champions: Group stages, passage of the round of 16 looks secure.
Cup: I don't care!!!
Associations: Up 10-7 after the 1st leg of the final. I let the team down in my match as I managed like an idiot. I loan out Carvanho yesterday for assoc, and adjusted the set-piece takers to account for it, but forgot to change them back and didn't notice it until the 60' minute. I also changed tactic but for some reason forgot to change focused passing to "through the middle", leaving it as "mixed" despite running a 4-3n-1-2, and didn't notice until the 30' minute. I also changed to defense + counters midway through the 2nd half, when I thought I had a feel for what the opponent was doing, but to his credit he noticed what I was doing and adjusted his tactics to account for and scored a couple goals to put the match away. In the semi's we won 4-0 and 3-0; 27-6 overall.
Edit: Ended up winning 23-11 in assoc. My game was tough as nails, as we trailed 0-1 at intermission, but made a change at intermission, and rallied to win 3-2.
Learning a lot about the current game engine (until now) this season:
- DML/DMR positions does not seems to be much effective anymore .. Against strong AML/AMR I now prefer to field 5 defenders; against strong ML/MR I prefer to field MR/ML in the same position, or even AML/AMR to annoy them ..
- ML/MR effectiveness goes down like a rocket when the opponent has an AMR/AML on field.
- Defensive schemes: both 3N-DML-DMR-... and 4-1-4-1 suffer a lot when there are AML or AMR on field .. I now prefer to field 5-1DMC-3MC-1 against formation with less than 3 MC; this season I haven't meet any team with 3MC-AML-AMR-ST to get a referral point
- Never adopted this kind of schemas, but I'm happy when an opponent comes with 3 ST against me; a single DMC is usually enough to keep them calm ... From my experience schemas like 4-3N-3, 4-3W-3, 3N-4-3, 3W-4-3 are pretty ineffective in the current game engine (while in reality are widely used)

So , Im playing against this team only 3% weaker than me and he is playing 4 4 1 1 and im playing a good counter with 451v.
I score a goal and then nordeus decide "screw you im gonna make you lose" and he scores two goals which if I could show you on the animation were total ><><...
I then rage change to 3 5 2 flat and first time ever use all 3 changes and THIS HAPPENS !!!!!! by the way , before the injury we had 61 - 39 possesion and everything in our favour, he wasnt present so we had 13% bonus possesion .. And thats not all ! , This actually happened to the 1st guy in the league as well ( im 2nd and even with a draw i would've become 1st) ... Some days when the game doesnt want you to win , you WONT
By the way in the morning we played CL and lost 0:1 at home against the guy we beat with same formation same everything 1:3 on away game..

What a strange season it is again. Second in the league. Running in the cup but somehow got kicked out of the CL. Then on to the supercup. First game is a win of 0-1. Next game I dominate the game again but the advisary scores 3 times and wins with 0-3. Not a troll result but just strange.
My second team was a victim in the cup of a tanker. Facing a level higher team full of 7 and 8 star players is not really funny. I tied the first game in the away match. I even thought I had a chance. Stupid me. In my home match I got trashed with 0-5. Ouch. Long time since I had such a defeat. I am still cruising in the CL of 1 level higher though. Lets see how long I last.
The red card fever is back though. Red cards galore. It is a long time ago that I saw so many red cards in both teams. I even had a game with 2 red cards. Supersubs is hard to play right now as I am already missing 2 key players that I had to replace :)
Aand we have regained the #1 spot after beating the leader 4:2 .. Gonna play the cup semis in 5 mins and we in the Quarters in Super League .. Going for the triple (unfortunalety with the super league instead of CL) :))
Won 0:1 in the Cup semis ,but it shouldve been more considering the chances we had.. I think we will wrap it up at the home game

Anyone else noticed a marked increase in yellow cards this season? Desert Rats averaged a card every two matches in each of the previous 6 seasons; this season they've already got 32 in only 35 matches. I've not changed the way they play in terms of tactics or orders, and it's the established players, not the newcomers this season, that are bearing the brunt of the increase...
Meant to post this myself. I play with 'normal' tackling but 9 of my starters, including all four defenders, are hanging by a thread. And the only field player who has not got a ban threat hanging over him just got back from one. This season I had my AML (who hasn't got even a yellow in the previous campaign) red-carded in the 1st minute with no explanation given.Quote:

@talisman: Increase of yellow and red cards. I even had a game with 2 red cards. Supersubs started and 2 of my key players had to be replaced before the match. Not many subs left that way haha. But yeah, definitely an increase for my team and my advisaries. Red cards almost seem to have no influence though. I got 2 red cards and barely lost. An advisary got an early red card only to win the game with 4-0 from me...........................
