Well, my notion that the game engine pre-determines in which tournament you will achieve most (see this post https://forum.topeleven.com/top-elev...tml) has just been confirmed :)
In the SL I got to face superior opposition starting from the quarterfinals. First I beat the manager 20% my superior (3:0, 0:1), in the semis met a guy 25% stronger from two levels above. Winged it at home 1:0, and in the return the rival manager had every right to consider himself trolled. I miscalculated the exact time the game started, so logged in when we were about 30 minutes into the first half. At that moment I was leading 2:0 from two penalties (!!). It ended 3:3, so I danced into the final, which was played this morning.
The oppo is from one level above, about 15% stronger. I go with my usual ultra-defensive (4 in the back-two DMCs-MC-AML+AMR-lone ST), which has proved to work in the previous rounds. I take the lead, he equalises but I am calm as an elephant - I have all the faith that the RNG has nominated me to be the SL winner this season. Am I right or am I right? Damn, yeah. Final score 4:1, and there I have my first SL cup in the trophy cabinet :p
Same in my case, and this wasn't the first time - 211K with a 260K capacity ground. I guess, instead of distributing the tickets among true supporters, they give away corporate hospitality packages to the sponsors and the twats in suits never bother to show up :p
The stadium wasn't full for Desert Rats' Champions League Final, but that wasn't a first in this manager's previous experience.
Overnight injury worry Mohamed Lotfy made it as far as the Substitutes bench, but wasn't needed as Desert Rats completed their third treble with a workmanlike performance over their slightly lesser Quality opponents. Having won over two Legs in the Cup earlier in the season, Desert Rats were in the ascendency over their adversary, but things looked grim when left-winger Stefan Vucomanovic found his name in the referee's notebook as early as the first minute, and he knew his contribution to this match was going to end sooner than later. The Management bravely left him stewing on the pitch until half time, when he was hooked in favour of right winger Patrick Tillmanns. There was definitely an indication of utility attacking midfielder Sebastian Nielsen's preferred side, because, apart from an assist for midfielder Eric Yeste's 14th minute strike which gave the Rats the lead, he contributed little from his right-wing berth, but after the break, having been switched to the left to replace Vucomanovic, he became all-business. In the 77th minute, just when the anxiety over the match position was rising, Nielsen broke with his previous practice of crossing from the left-wing and cut in himself, evading a defender and slotting the ball past the advancing custodian to increase the lead, which Desert Rats held until the final whistle, winning the Champions League 2-0.

Even the fans noticed the extent of match fixing in Top Eleven. This is why many did not attend many finals this season. :D
Don't know, if it was easy... but we did it. We won CL +1 and the 10.triple. :o

But the match was a bit thrilling... we took the lead at 30' with our first animation, SoT were 1:1. Costa made 0:2 with a shot from distance at 41, SoT 1:2 to us. At 51', our playmaker made a stupid tackling, got yellow and the opponent a penalty - but our keeper made an amazing save. SoT were 3:2. Finally Costa made 0:3 after a perfect pass from Körner (subed in at 77') at 80'. MoM-title went to our keeper.
Final tally for the matches today...

AEPRE FC were defeated 0-1 in the Champions League final with that goal from long-range. But AEPRE FC however exceeded expectations in such competition this season.
AEPRE FC, after winning five last league matches in a row, ended their campaign in 3rd place with 62 points
United Ameo FC wins the league after a dramatic 3-1 win over Smalltee FC, both teams ended with 64 points but the goal difference goes into United Ameo FC's favour.
We may be much less active in the upcoming season due to real-life stuffs, but we'll try to go as far as possible in the Cup after first-round comeback humiliation.
Good season with angry sheep with an easy league and a winning cup.
Also a fantastic season for Bonano

Incredibly successful season for Panathinaikos A.O., I managed to win my first Triple Crown. The two finals I've won were against stronger teams so my team's accomplishments have even greater value.

My team won the league. It was a season long battle. Early in week 4, my team was 2nd; 1st was leading by 2 points. See: https://forum.topeleven.com/top-elev...tml#post463790 . At that point, it seemed that the loss due to the game putting a GK as DMC early in the season when I was absent would be the missing points required to win the league. I did not give up. I tried to get a maximum of points and also tried to score a lot of goals, hoping that Cristi FC would slip, which would put both teams on equal points. Cristi FC slipped once later in that last week with a draw, and my team went to 1st place leading by goal difference. In the following matches, I set things up to boost that goal difference. Cristi FC slipped a second time – another draw, which left the final game of the season as being the decisive one. My team faced 4th team that used an odd formation (3W-3N-2W-3). There were doubts despite that we were favourites , even during the match despite leading, but the team made it.
My team came out 2nd for both of the mini competitions in this season.
Chiba could have had more points in the league had it not concentrated so much on the second mini-competition.

Andrew Mulhall ended up as the team's player of the season for the second time in 2 seasons. But due to the way this game works, Andrew Mulhall (AMC/AMR, 108%, 20 y.o) is expected to play less matches next season and it will probably be his final season for the team.
Season Overview

The Desert Rats Management decided to celebrate his teams' third Treble by retiring the old away shirt they had been using and replacing it with one which matched the home shirt design.
Old: Attachment 83864
New: Attachment 83865
The team celebrated by using the shirt in their last match of the season, away to 8th place in the table, and recorded a well-played 6-0 win, which denies their hosts a promotion slot in the final table. Utility attacking midfielder Sebastian Nielsen netted a hat-trick, striker Eros Martorelli bagged a brace and left-winger Stefan Vucomanovic a single.
League title :)

The account itself since 2015. This account is my second one; I initially created it for testing and getting experience, but then I I used it as my main account as I did not revive the very first account since the first quit (see Virtual FC in the team show section of the forum). The first name was Peace FC, then much much later, I changed the name to that of my first team, and then to the name it has now before I quit the game for the second time. Since then, despite coming back a few times, I did not change name again. The team even went to win doubles and a treble with that name; good advertising. :D
Not too far from what my very first team had in that game.

They are still among the best looking, classic jerseys, and that SPEED sponsor went with them well . Blue and white made it beautiful to watch at home while black and yellow for the away yshirt gave the sense of fear and caution to the opponent. :D
We end this season 93 returning to Platinium with our beloved association and it's members, so this was a great season after all :o
Soon will be the time to go for the 94th Top Eleven Season, let's see what bring us :D
One last post to celebrate a wonderful season.

Some people are still bidding like crazy in the auction market. Among them, some will be promoting to the next level, and one is even first and another second in their leagues.
5-0 win in Champions League Final with that tactic. I don't have clue how 5 goals were scored with that tactic, would have thought 2 goals max could be scored with that. I might just play weird tactics all next season just because, why not...

Associations: A 4th place and two 3rds left the Association tantalisingly short of points, but a last weekend 1st place gave them enough to promote to Silver 2. The Management feel, however, that the other Association members are not giving enough support, and Home Guard have often found themselves the only team present on match days, so will reluctantly be parting with their current Association in the new season.
