Highest I've paid for a player on auction in the new system is 25T. In desperation for a 18yo CB. He's in his 4th season with us now, and that's a big exception. For a player I really desire, I go as high as 5T. Usually though, I pay 1T for most players i.e entirely avoid bidding wars.
Rarely ever go above 1T for attackers as I discard them really fast if they fail to perform. Test them in several friendlies [only event that consumes my green packs as I do not use green packs in-season. With a squad of at least 2 players per position, there's no need to] Vs varying opposition to decide who's good or poor. Bought and discarded as many as 8 attackers who weren't up to par last season alone. Imagine if I'd bought them for 20T each..
It's a new tactic I only started employing last season though. Before then, I just signed anyone for as much T as I was willing to part with and prayed to God they came good.

Ok, i guess that is possible once your team is stable. Thats still 1 token per player, is that still possible now?
Anyway i spend an average of anywhere between 30 to 40 tokens per season.

Maybe 20 Token on average. Depends on how many players I need to replace. I try to aim for 70-80% 18-19 yo players and train them up, so usually I don't spend more than 5 Token on a single player.Originally Posted by EastsiderSG

The new auction system has been no different from the old for me, tbh. Neither spending more tokens nor less. Although, I'll admit I called it bull**** when it was first implemented. Think now that I, like everyone, was just being sentimental.
I disagree, I could build a team from scratch for 20 T, yes it took a little bit of patience and time but it was worth it. Maybe different servers make us have these kind of different experiences, I wish I could say the same, but everyone in my server seems to be an ignorant of the game or a troll who artificially raises the price of players.
The auction system is rubbish. Imagine bidding wars of 20+ tokens still going on at this point in the season. Under the old system all I had to do was wake up early in the morning and bid for nordgens, I could get an 18y0 fast trainer with special ability for just 1 token now I require nothing less than 40 tokens to get such a player. The market seem to be filled with crazy managers who seem to have infinite tokens, maybe they are using a token hack.
I stopped using this useless feature 6 seasons ago. There are better ways to find good players
I just watched an advert for people with terminal cancer ! It was for a freebie rest pack, now as if that wasn't exploitative enough, thay then never paid out the rest pack.I switched off device and waited 20 minutes nothing. They will make me lose my cup final for writing this , I don't care I had the misfortune of watching my father pass away from terminal Cancer as I lay by his bed . I'm outraged.

I don't use the transfer market anymore. I think I bought 2 or 3 players in total for 2 teams there. I am using negotiations or recommendations only. Negotiations are somewhere in the line of 25-30 tokens and will always be a young player preferably with a SA. If I find a player like that on the transfer market, still be prepared to pay at least the same amount for it but mostly more.
