Player who can play 2-3 positions

    Example:
If i have a players who has Roles as DR-DC-DL
    Is DR his preferred/Favorite position?
Or is he capable of playing to the same ability in all of the 3 roles?

    A million dollar question.
I feel like the first position if preferable, but I think that it's just a cosmetic thing. There are several threads on this subject, with no proved answer.

    for defenders it's the same.
Very difficult to spot some difference.

For AML-AMC-AMR I think there is some favorite position.

This is one of those things in TE that can't be given rules or guidelines.

The skills required for each position are different. If the player has higher % in the skills that are unique to that position (amongst the positions that he can play) then he will usually play better at that position.

Its one of those things that you have to analyse your players and their abilities. Failing that, change them around a bit during the match and see how their ratings go...

For example, look at these two Desert Rats FC players:

Player who can play 2-3 positions-dr-skill-compare-dc-dl-ali-syvertsen.jpg

Player who can play 2-3 positions-dr-skill-compare-dc-dl-davide-catracchia.jpg

The unique skills are for a DC, Heading and Strength; for a DL (or DR), Crossing and Speed.

Syvertsen is better in Strength and Speed, Catracchia better in Heading and Crossing. After some experimentation in play, Catracchia plays better at DL and Syvertsen at (left) DC, so that's where I usually play them.

you just need to check the highlight ability of multiple position player and compare with the grey ability with specific single position player,

    for example:
single DC got grey crossing ability
single DL/DR got higlight crossing ability
multiple DC/DL/DR got highlight crossing ability

but don't just check on crossing ability only, please check others ability as well that make DC and DL/DR different

the ability that make centerback and fullback different is Heading, Strength, Speed & Crossing

your multiple position player is more suit to DC if got higher Heading & Strength than speed & crossing

and suit to fullback if got higher speed & crossing than strength and heading.

There is a small tool that helps you choose the right drills: ITP.
