There really is nothing wrong with tanking in itself. I've tanked twice in my career and it was because I needed to gather enough resources to rebuild my squad due to the fact that I ran low on resources experience however has allowed me to go over 10 seasons without having to tank.
The problem however is a group of managers who tank season after season and build 9star squads just for the sole purpose of getting an advantage in association tournaments, they compete only in association and sometimes cup.
But then again tanking Is simply a moral grey area because it's not against any of the laid down forum rules but simply an exploit, just the same way lawyers bend the law in their favor.
The onus is on nordeus to take action against the above mentioned group of managers
feel your pain man. I joined 2 games before end of season, climbed from #11 to #9, that was all I could.
failure to promote is not tanking.
what will your budget be without any money from wining or even tickets, will you be able to aford 2 decent players on l2 prices? when is your youth coming out, in week 3 or 4 next season?
whatever you decide, enjoy your game, don't pay attention to others.
I think we will leave it there as the thread has gone off topic.

If Nordeus don't stop a practice it must be acceptable, no?
Tanking?
Repetitive tanking?
Association loans?
Training to excess certain skills - mutants?
Upselling?
That's the only challenge left. Beat the system.
It's not a football manager simulation anymore. It's how to fool the developers.
And it's getting tiresome.
Fair enough, Altiplano. You know my stance on it
As someone who has played almost 39 seasons of TE without tanking once (to what I would regard as having very good success), it just gets my back up. I have fallen foul to this practice a few times, but as I said, two wrongs don't make a right.
As mentioned by another post, this seems to be worse in the Association matches.
It appears that this debate will rumble on for quite some time.
