Another season, the same old story.

Champions League.
-12% unmanaged team, 1 level higher than me.

2-2 and I scored a penalty at 86th!

This season will be a nightmare.

gonna be a season full of ups and down, so far I've unexpectedly won 4-1 before unexpectedly losing 3-0 to the same team, thankfully that saw me through on away goals, I think the 2nd result was my fault for not preparing the best, was at work and the players started unfit and I made 3 subs at half time because of that but that weakened the team etc basically I didn't have time to watch or prepare properly, anyway, 1st league game was an amazing 6-1 win, and then a 1-0 loss in the champions league against a +1 level higher than me team

Is it possible for the game system, software algorithms and so on to be impossible to beat the same team?
I say this because last season I faced the team in question in Cup and he won me both in the first leg and in the return (and at that time we were equal team) and it turns out that today he played against the same team also in Copa, this season, and he has won me again (and this time with an average difference of quality superior to yours).

It's perhaps more likely he or she has;

1. Solid tactics.

2. Well trained players. By that I mean older attackers with high white skills and very low grey skills. Those players outperform their overall q generally.

Anyone else feel like there is a programmed pattern to each season? Not sure if it's my imagine or a myth but;

1st week of season always seems to see more random results. More injuries. More cards.

Middle weekend of season seems random/troll results.

Cup final day random/troll. Cl final not so much so.

Cup and cl sfs more cards.

When I see cards and injuries appear to be triggered when people enter or exit a match it makes you question how cynical the programming really is.

Injuries are a b*tch - two of Desert Rats' new recruits have been on the medicos bench in the past two days...

It seems the match engine targets new signings in the first few matches of the season.
