Straight & deflected free kick goals

Free kicks can be scored by straight hammered shots or via deflections from a wall, but is the difference between those cosmetic, or are straight goals a sign of a better FK taker? My FK specialist scores only deflections, but still scores a lot, so I haven't had a problem with it. Then I have another guy who's not a specialist but has a high shooting skill. He has rocketed in straight shots a few times when he's been the shooter. He hasn't taken much FK's so can't say if he converts them with a better rate.

So it's pretty certain that there are differences between individual players, not only on how good they are at free kicks, but also on HOW they score from them, like I don't remember my regular shooter having scored straight in competitive matches even though I've surely seen him convert dozens of FK's. Scoring straight of course SOUNDS better because it doesn't need lucky deflections, but is there a real difference in the game?

So, the question is, are straight scored free kicks a sign of a better free kick shooter? What do you think?

Probably just cosmetics to look goals different and not always the same...I scored straight,deflected and also some wall reflected goals with some lucky players who picked the ball after wall defended it...

Are you referring to balls that bend around the wall? Or ones that hit the wall and are scored by a player that didn't take the free-kick?

Second one is my favourite. When a live challenge is ongoing and you need straight goal from your FK taker (FK challenge, scoring challenge). Well... "Unfortunately" my FK taker is assisting (almost) all the time. How cute and i'm exploding in IRL for sure...

IMO this means that the player is more next to a max. of chances to score if it is direct.... and that is in a good level if it touches the wall, I guess is leveled, so the worst players directly fail, then the 2nd level is when they do a mini shoot that impacts the wall... then here can be a 3rd level that is more for those who assist and when deflect the wall they do an assistance... (so this would be the max. FK level for a assistant...)
and then deflected goals and direct ones. Is like a ratio IMO... and it varies after some weeks, so theres a better player inside the team for these actions.. fk/corners too for PKs... and in this last case I've realized that when a PK specialist have to do it's job tends to fail, so is more like a SA of penalty failer speciality.......

all is internally calibrated, and varies time to time in that case.

2D animations and commentaries are cosmetics... and often different for the same situations on the pitch...

Another player shoots the f-k, the ball deflects the wall and our specialist takes the second shot and scores.
Maybe they tried to make an animation with a trick sometimes we see in football games but it failed.

The only different thing is the curve shot we see from players who have the sa.

Oh yeah, the curve shot is what I meant, just thought it was a deflection because the turn of the ball at the place of the wall in the animation is so sharp. Should've remembered the commentary, "the ball bends around the wall". I'll get my coat. :P

they don't have to have the SA to curve it, I dont have a free kick specialist

Only players with this sa can make that curve shot.
Not that a player witout sa cannot be excellent in f-k or pass the ball above the wall but this extra curve can be made only from specialists.
You must get one.
