Do we need two goalkeepers?

We heard stories about injured goalkeepers continuing to play on and make big saves. I have a 2* 2nd GK and if my 1st GK ever got hurt I would use red packs to heal him so I had 2nd GK only for emergency substitutions but is there even a point in that? If not, I will just sell him and use the bench spot for a position player.

Just have one as a backup in case he gets injured in the 5th minute or something.. I always have a 2nd keeper on my bench, you never know when it'll come in handy

i have only one GK .. with no problem
he got injured at 20 min, played a CB as GK, and had a clean sheet
that is how much engine $ucks
as long as he defensive ability is good, he will be great GK even if he is a defender

In real football, there are plenty of examples of an outfield player going in goal because a team has no sub and keeping a clean sheet. Even saving penalties

Indeed, I have watched a GK get red carded and the replacement come in and save the penalty. I have seen 'Pool do this recently i think. But I have also seen an outfield player donning the gloves and making the penalty save, so it does happen in RL.

But you have to admit, it is a rarity. For the game engine to simulate this properly, there should be more goals when an outfield player is playing GK. It is NOT an easy position to play and takes a different mentality, and positioning is one of the most important qualities.
As a GK in ice-hockey, I am fully aware of this.

That's what I have but I thought the game had a glitch where the injured GK will continue to perform at his normal level. If so, I might as well get rid of him..

You can't rely on "glitches" all the time... I heard someone's GK got injured and conceded 2 goals right after that so the "glitch" doesn't always happen. I play as if the game didn't have any of these problems as you never know what will happen with this game lol

Baku played with his mc as keeper and won 0-5 away. The one as keeper scored a 7 too.

i always have 2 keepers not so much for injuries but with two games a day depending how close they are, i use one for league and the other for cup this way i save on green packs
