As I wrote elsewhere in this forum, I believe the ranking of whole career win/draw/loss percentages would be the most (and perhaps the only) meaningful global player ranking in this game.

Trophies per level mean little. In my league now at level 8 there is a tanker who has won 35 cups.

Even then, if you manipulate draws WDL % means nothing when you play a lot vs bots and inactive teams. It looks good in statistics but doesn't tell if someone is a good manager.
I think there is not a valid indicator in the game to tell you how good someone is. Of course the people with more trophies probably know more about the game and take it more serious.

I got to agree with a lot of this , my level 23 team has 4 active teams with the rest abandoned ,bot or whatever so 6 matches a season actually competing against another human brain , well hopefully anyway.
