I bought a new player this morning and he had Very good.
So, my player, lost morale (IDK when exactly but was from very good to good) on the same day he was bought before he even played his first match that same day later, and he stayed at this moral level even after his near MoM match performance, while all others went to very good (or they were already). I am not saying this not possible or there is no good explaination, but it is something really unexpected.
The scenario was as follows.
(1) bought a recommended player
(2) player did not start the very next match as it was close
(3) later, the player was noticed with good morale
(4) the player started the second match of the day and his performance was second best (2 goals and 1 assist)
(5) his morale stayed on good
In real life, when a new player just came, it is something wise to not start him immediately. In the game, new players come with 80% condition too; another reason to not start the player in the very next match if the time of match is close. But here Nordeus punish for making good decisions?
Secondly, the player started the second match of the day. He should be happy, and given his performance, he should be even happier. But, here he is not made to gain morale.
This is another indication that certain things are biased towards the negative side; dynamic but biased so that users spend more even if the user made a proper decision in terms of football management.
I hope this will prevent from some troll results because in many games abandoned teams get a draw or a win with a 3*-4* GK been the man of the match with many saves and a rate of 9 or 10.
So those GKs cannot have a superb morale and a possible extraordinary performance :p
Of course, but this is one of the things we expect from this new change.
We also expected some positive change from the new team bonus before some months but the results, as watching the forum and facebook groups were worst.

I had a Mc (Xavi) 3 season ago and he made almost 30 assists (17 league assists )

I would like a clarification on your above statement. You say the “new system...requires competitive matches (non-Friendlies) in order to develop actionable feedback”. Is this just for the new system to take effect for a given player or do Friendlies never count towards morale? I am hoping they count in the same way that Friendlies affect conditioning and skill points. If not it will be extremely difficult to keep a full roster happy with adequate playing time.
I understand that you also don't want players to game the system by setting up Friendlies against easy opponents so that the players get an easy boost. This could be accounted for by having each type of game have a higher or lower morale multiplier. A player having a great CL game should count more and last longer than a great game in an average League match. Are the different types of matches, or even quality of opponents, reflected in the new morale system?

Yeah, but MCs usually do not take corners. I will put an MC to take corners only if he is good at it (or he is better at it than the remaining players). But this game has not much football sense sometimes as even certain GKs will score free kicks and assist a lot from corners.

Another follow-up question, how does the new morale feedback system take into accounts subs during a game?
I subbed in two players during a league match, one scored a goal and the other got a yellow card. After the match both still complained about not getting enough playing time. This of course could certainly be true but I noticed that the player that scored the goal got credit for the game (matches played equaled one), the player that got the yellow did not get credit (so he has a yellow card against him but no league matches played). I reallly like the idea of this new morale system and the additional challenge of having to actively manager players time, training etc. but the game also needs to be nuanced enough to give credit for subs so that we have a better chance to get 13 or 14 players involved per game and not just the starting eleven.

the match he lose moral his rating was 7. league match won 2-1 against stronger opponent
just a though the subs should not lose the moral so fast as they are part of the match and get switched based on match situation.
Same thing happened again same player CL match. same day so used 2 moral boost so far as i have a association match today.

Morale..... should increase if a player is on reserves waiting after bad matches and training to do a better performance, and recovery till very good if they are awaiting and excited for playing. We need something less abrasive and compensated.
Too bad the game went from bad to worse... Nordeus ****ed it up real bad.
This ends my time with T11 after 6 years.

The. Changes for morale are really good, if you win nothing drops only get from very good to superb....
But ofcourse your team need to perform and win and maintained...

Like many of things Nordeus do to this game, this is purely designed to make you spend and therefore have to buy more tokens. Players comments have no relevance to results. I've just won a cup match 5-1 against a team of similar rating and most of the players are saying they are disappointed with team performance. So instead of about half of the team losing some morale, the whole team has. The game bleeds you dry for tokens, you can't even tank for a season any more without being stripped of your Associations tokens. For these reasons I will be quitting the game at the end of the season.
Feedback on new Morale setup: It looks like Managers are yet again being ripped off through this new morale system. At the start of a new match day, I always boost my players morale status (even for those on the Sub & Reserve benches). Previously these morale status updates are retained until the start of the next match day. Now with this new system, even those subs & reserve players morale status are being degraded after a competitive match (even though they didn’t play or take part in that match). How can players morale drop from superb to good after winning a 8-0 match? I used to ignore most these rigged discrepancies in the game (which doesn’t reflect reality as Nordeus claim or would like us Managers to believe) but enough is enough; please stop your underhand stealing of our Morale Boosters! Don’t be surprised when people start dumping off your app because your money hungry/ sucking scams are now blatantly bold. It’s no longer fun but difficult playing a football manager.

This is for sure One of the biggest mistakes done to this game... a dealbreaker to many players who just like me, will quit playing the game.

So far so good...
So far the morale changes seem good: a player has a good game - his morale usually stays the same, several good games it goes up, the team wins - most players morale stays the same. I have some players complaining about playing time - which I take as a natural part of the game - and for some of them their morale has gone down. It's forcing me to play more players but I like the challenge.
A couple of questions:
1. Is natural morale better than boosted morale? Meaning if a player is on a hot run and gets to ‘superb’ is that ‘superb’ more effective than just applying blues to get him to ‘superb’. I guess not but that would be a great twist. I am hoping that managing everyone to very good or superb status is better than just applying blues before each game.
2. Are some players naturally more whiney than others? I have two players, same position, same quality rating and same number of matches played. One complains of playing time while the other is very happy. Just interested if it is random or if certain players have internal settings which make them more ‘costly’ to maintain.
It is still early season so I will have to see how I feel after I lose a league match directly before a CL match and my entire team morale goes into the dumper...

How is it that the morale of your players go from V. Good to Superb after a win and mine go from Very Good to Poor after a 5-0 win? You must be special than everyone else.
To me the same thing is happening as maloukees, win gives good the best players get superb, to my son also.
I don't see any issue with the changes to morale. My team's morale has never been so high and so stable... but then I've never really bothered with it as it didn't seem to affect anything (and still probably only has a very small effect).
If I win my morale usually stays at Very Good, with a few players on Superb. Every now and then they drop down to Good, but they come back up without using blue packs.
I appreciate it might be different if I wasn't in a fairly easy league and winning almost all games.

But Im leading in the League , lost only my first match. ... and won all in the cup and the CL and my morale went from good in the start of the season to almost all players, the starting 11 , to superb...
I did not spent any morale booster this season unlike the season before those one every day I spent like 6 boosters just to keep morale on good

I’m sure that I’m not the only one suffering from this new morale system. I won’t be wasting my time to complain on this forum if what I’m experiencing is not true. Look at others on this forum to see how many others managers suffer from morale hits like me compared with the very few that are happy and two thumbs up for Nordeus fantastic scam game. Top 11 is getting more complicated and harder to stay competitive without spending regularly on tokens. Good to see the few enjoying this meaningless changes (albeit far from reality).
Good for you. Last season I averaged 9 boosters per competitive match to keep players at Superb and Morale status stay healthy until next match day Now I’m averaging 18-22 blue packs to get my starters and bench ready for competitive matches. After a win Morale drops from Superb to Very Good/Good and from V. Good to Good/Poor. Forgive me if I don’t believe you because I don’t experience what you claimed just the opposite. Now I can’t afford to stay competitive and play with all the tournaments. Top 11 is no longer fun but stressful and not worth my time and money.
Since the morale changes hit I've only concentrated on keeping the starting XI and bench happy - as I'm winning mostly the starting XI are keeping themselves happy so it's only 10-12 videos a day to watch to get the bench up to good before each match. The reserves aren't likely to feature (unless I really need to reduce quality for a super low-Q opponent) or cover injuries, in which case I use up a couple of blue packs to get them up to superb before putting them out to play...
After several years happily playing this game and spending quite a lot of money buying players every 26 games I am quitting.
This new morale boost is a total rip off, after every daily update I have to morale boost 27 of my 28 players even though prior to the update I had 28 superb morales, and after every game I have to boost 27 players again, even yesterday after winning 5-0, 27 players needed boosting again, I mean what have you to do not to drop morale? Win 25-0.
Granted I normally have to boost about 15 players once a day but the free videos covered that, yesterday after 3 games and daily update it cost 108 boosts (27 x 4)
No it’s turned into a way to make you run out of saved up boosts and then have to buy more practically daily,
