It seems he is going for it this season; cannot blame him for that. He bought young players and used his packs to trained them to 8 stars. It is not that easy to do these days because firstly, the user must be there severals hours per day in the market to watch for those specfic players, then it is a matter of winning the auction, and later the user have to spend maybe more than 1K of green packs.

What is even more worrying is he is using 4-4-2. According to my experience so far since my comeback, this formation might be the hardest to face.

The fact that he was put in the same league as the token buyer might be the reason why he boosted his players so much.

Tell me more then if you think it is weak these days.
I think it might be even stronger than it was when I playing the game some years ago. From my experience, 4-4-2 and 4-5-1V seemed stronger as before I could almost guarantee a win if I played a certain way against those. Wingbacks were probably nerfed with the removal of DMR/L, but they were very useful back then against certain formations such as those two. I will also add that the game was clearly biased towards narrow formations where it was favoring them and those that spammed the middle with many players, but these days I have a feeling they are not so favoured - things seem more realistic.
