Forum Challenge - Assists Challenge Tracking thread

Let's open a thread where to track how are perfoming our players till the season it's over, to know who will win the Assists Challenge of this season 124.

Remember that if you wanted to participate, you needed to be registred when season started, so here the list of managers that will be elegible to win 50, 40 or 30 tokens once we sum up the assistances that their 2 registred players have achieved;

Remember that the 2 players that each manager registred to represent the club in this challenge, can't be changed.

No point in entering because my best assist maker has 13 assists and is on the bench, I should have had a good playmaker DMC this season, acquired him last season and he has been in incredible form, no goals and 1 assist in 63 matches, what a playmaker he is (not) lol, he is on the bench now, what a waste of tokens that was and I will never be buying form the scout market again unless absoulutely necessary.

I mean i was 2nd in terms of assists per player, but like 10th overall for the both players.
I can t be responsible to make my both players competitive in order to win this award, it was hard enough to make my best assister( Suazo) assisting almost 1 assist per game during this season.

I would appreciate where did you saw that reference.
What I understood of her quote is that the best of the 2 players has the biggest score, representing it s team in competition .

I thought it was well explained, when I wrote "you can select 2 players to represent your club in this challenge" at the end of the seasonw e will sum up the assistances that both players earned, and this will decide who wins the challenge.

There was till middle season to select the 2 candidates, then, ofc. there's a luck factor, but too, the way we manage the team can help a particular player in that sense, seelcting them for corner positions, FKs, or focussing the passing etc

Also the title of the challenge is named "assists", not "assisters challenge" . It would have made more sense wouldn't it?

I think I have a pretty good understanding of English in general, but the sum up thing wasn't clear for me from the beginning. You are saying to me that if I selected my 2 players, I would have already knew that both counted for this contest as together, not the best one.
Also, guessing my goalscorer from the start of the season would be easy, but my assister from 3 wingers (AML-AMC-AMR) and ST is pretty difficult.
I have some of my fault but you do have too for not explaining clear at the start of the contest the rules.

And next time you re creating rules for a contest try to use words that literally mean what you say, not make the participant try to guess what it should mean.

Understand that, Im not going to go a assists challenge, with a single player, pre-selected or even "the best" when season ends, cause we know some AvQ manipulations can affect the team performance so, we need something more limited, undexpected at some point, and challenging.

If I write, Assists challenge, select 2 players, after day 13 you can not change any player you've selected to represent your club in this challenge. That's quite a hint, but yeah time to time I complete the posts info in different moments so I guess Ive to improve my art of writing.

This was his original post, so he said that we will see how many assists achieved the 2 players we selected

And you,stevan. It doesn't imply the sum of both players assists, it says that both players count in this contest, in a way that wasn't clear understood from what Khris said.

But from what you said, i have my share of rightness too, cause I said that I understood that both players assists count, but only the best one will represent my team, in a way that is more logical than picking the "fictive" sum of both my representative players ..
Also the title says assists challenge, not assisters challenge. I would have guessed and understand it right away, but nope ...

It isn t that far off, but it involves guessing a rule, not knowing a rule.that s the thing that annoyed me so far, because rules should be known, not to be guessed or understood...
Also my theory involves that both players count, but just the best one gets to represent my team, not both. My theory is as far feasible as yours

I thought assists from both players would be sumed too, but I do not mind if the total assists of only the best out of the two players will be considered.
One thing for sure though, this competition is not fair as such because some teams faced tougher competitions and opponents while others had significantly easier ones. Another unfair thing is that it is likely the the rich accounts will win and the poor will become poorer because this competition favors those that already have a lot of resources - they are the ones that have the most advantages and best odds to win this competition given that they can have (or already have) players of big quality difference compared to their opponents.

That is true, it will be the ones that have the 7-9 star players that win all the awards, thus making their teams even stronger and more unstoppable.

I would also like to add that the game engine itself is unfair (****) because how can there be a case where a team won by 9 goals but there was not even 1 assist?

Is the 4th comp we do and probably again for 4th time Stevan, who sell all players when season ends will win it.

So, hey, I'm open to suggestions XD let's define the term "fair" inside the own game limits and suggest stuffs to do, cause next season is here and the idea is to add a new challenge.

I know, I win most of my games by an average score of 3-6 goals and there is hardly ever an assist, I have said before I spent 40 token on a 104% DMC with a playmaker ability, I subbed him off yesterday for a 10% better DMC, the 40 token playmaker made one assist in 63 matches and did not even score a goal.

That was shocking.

The biggest waste of 40 tokens in my life.

I bought a player for 8 tokens, I did not know it at the time, he would be the all time appearance maker, but he would score 164 goals in 147 appearances and made 72 assists, I got rid of him last season as he got old, he still was scoring though, I bought I replacement for him this season and he has been almost as good as him, they are both called Byung Sik Shin, I renamed the second one after the first B Shin as he was so good.

The new, younger B Shin has scored 42 times in 44 appearances and has provided 13 assists.

I had the hardest League in all my Top Eleven career and +1 level Cup and Champions League with many active opponents (some of which won doubles or trebles). That is the price Nordeus makes you pay for having spent a lot of money building your team but not opting to sell many players and manipulate the draws. Many would have ended closer to mid-table in my place and for sure many would have missed Champions League qualification.

That 9-0 you see above, I did that in the 2nd leg of Semi Final of the Cup, something I must say I am proud of given that the opponent was 1 level above and near same quality as my team; I got the the tactics right and maybe he did not train that day. But on the bad side, not even 1 assist as you can see in the pictures.

Even if ever I will not win anything in this assist competition I will not mind as I am satisfied with what I was able to achieve so far in that tough season, but I made important points showing how this assist competition is unfair, especially to those of very limited budget. The thing is people that might not be needing those tokens as such will get them as rewards while those that desperately will need tokens will not get anything but this is how a good part of this world functions (this is how life is in this world).

A MOTM challenge?
Every game I watch I try and manipulate it so that my top player gets motm and so can keep his level up for longer. If someone is outscoring him or playing better and he is close then I sub them to give him a better chance of getting it.
Would be a fun one to do for everyone

I playing my 3rd CL Final In 4 seasons with this new club, I used to play with an old level 15 team.

Also I beat an even opponent 6-0 o aggregate in the CL Semis without attending.

He did not either so I was really lucky

I think there are enough of reasons (and also support from the company itself) to manipulate things for additional rewards in this game. Better they come up with something less manipulative, less unfair and something that will give players having lower budgets more equal chance (although I myself I was a higher budget user since I came back to the game).

If I win the CL it will be back to back Seasons.

How did you get on this season? Because you said you got +1 level teams.

I am 1st In the League Despite losing today, I am in the Champions League Final for the 2nd season running, I am hoping to retain it.

I got to the cup final and finished second, we lost to a stronger team this ending our four in a row charge, 3 cups in a row is still good.

Everything performance based will be unfair with lowering quality. How about the team with most number of red cards/yellow cards? We can test the theory whether hard tackling gets us more cards. Am sure not all of us will use hard tackling just to win tokens.

Anything wrong with the orders can result to cards and goals conceeded but some may have more effect than others. You might be surprised if you selected easy or normal tackling and got cards but hard tackling gave no cards. This is how the game functions. ;)

I play on a 35T level and can stay competitive up to a point. The MOTM idea would be easy enough for me to do

Maybe he was talking about players like me who are quite new that can’t manipulate as effectively yet due to lack of greens and tokens. MOM is kind of performance based as well and a team who lowered quality can easily win more matches and go further in competitions vs those who do not.

By low budget, I meant low on all resources, but especially low on green packs and tokens.

It might be easy for some, especially those that keep 1 monster attacker, for example an 8-9 star winger in an otherwise lower quality team (other main line-up players are 4-6 stars) and it might be fun as it is likely to be fun for someone if he can easily win a competition, but need think about others. It cannot be that a competition is set-up in such a way that it will favor significantly some specific participants because of the team they already have and the way they play the game. What will be even more wrong is if it will favour accounts that are already rich, that is those that do not need tokens as such. Some users have more than 400-500T (some maybe more than a 1000T) and thousands of green packs, but they will still be participating in those 30-50T competitions that they can relatively easily win but for what, maybe for fun but in doing so they prevent the poor ones from getting those tokens they needed much more. But if so, then better all the rest do not even bother participating because they have nearly no chance given how this game functions, and those 'rich' accounts I have mentioned can keep the competition for themselves every season. In another way to say, this competition here will become no different to what long time tankers with mutants have been doing for the Top 100 in the associations competition. There, the tankers can keep top ranks all for themselves and take the rewards every season and here certain specific users can do the same. No point in others to even bother to compete given their huge disadvantage they will already have (and is what will happen soon or later when the others will realise the have no chance to win). Only 16 different users registered for this season's competition (15 in fact, as it is me who pushed the member in my association to partipate too, and I, myself, I did not plan to participate given the tough competitions my team have been put in, but I registered in the last hour). This is already low in terms of participants. I am not saying that the competition should favour the poor ones or newbies or starters, but it should be more fair globally considering all the eligible users on this forum, whatever their resources they have and the way they play the game as long as they are not cheaters. Given how this game functions, and the fact that it will be hard to make the competition fair globally, maybe better would be to balance things, that is make seperate competitions (split tokens from pool even more) or maybe set-up competitions in such a way that in no two or three consecutive seasons, the competition will significantly favor the same specific users.

Khris was asking for suggestions for the next one, what would your one be that would level the playing field and let weaker teams have a chance of winning?

I already said it in the last lines. Read (or read again). ;)

I believe the strong tend to win the World Cup you guys organise. But clean sheets and assists are not only about being strong, its also about your competition opponents which can be easily manipulated. Same player wins 4 times running but yet it’s still fun for the rest of you who aren’t strong as the strong tend to win. Let’s not overthink it. Oh please

Giving teams who do not manipulate the draws a chance is equivalent to giving weaker teams a chance. What rubbish.

I don't really see any suggestions there for what form the competition would take, bearing in mind we've already had a clean sheet one and are now in an assist one?

Briefly, 1st there was the clean sheet competition, 2nd the assists competition and 3rd lets say it will be the MoM competition but there were no restrictions or categorisation. The 3 consecutive competitions favour more or less the same users, and thus it will be likely the same ones that will win season after season or the same types of users or accounts that will win. Why would the others even bother to participate afterwards if it continues this way? You spoke about fun, but where will be the fun for the others? Will it not become sort of same as those events that many users complained about or same as what has been happening in associations?

I spoke in a more neutral way rather than thinking for only myself and making suggestions that would mostly suit me where I would have more chances to win. Anyway, those forum competitions are among the last of my priorities concerning this game. I consider them just as a bonus. As for others that will have significantly less chance, well what can I say more... just consider it only as a forum competition. ;)
