Let me answer for why would someone post to say he is quitting the game or taking a break.

This is a forum that is used by a community, where many users of the game been into contact with each other, sharing their experiences, asking about things but also discusssing. Users also post about things they do not like, make complaints and so on. So, it is normal for a user that has been very active on the forum to feel the need to inform others that he is quitting the game and also the reasons why.

What is your purpose here, and what is the purpose of this post you made above? If you have not figured it out, your reply in this thread is kind of rude. I know that some users may not like others for whatever reasons but if someone does not deserve being mistreated, then mistreating him is wrong; you basically slap him on his face with that reply.

If a post is not against the rules and it has not been addressing to you specifically nor it is offending or anti-social, you can ignore the post if it displeases you or it is something you are not interesting in.

Going on the amount of posts Max made in the last few months I kinda think the game was becoming a far bigger part of his life than a free game should be.
It's a form of closure, a post like that is more benefit for himself than for others, makes walking away from something that's been important a little bit easier.
