I just read the full thread. My best player is an AMC but almost never performs like he usually does during big games. Semis and finals. He assists during big games. I was beginning to think the script eliminates the best players for both teams leaving the game up to the others. Or the script already selected the positions for both teams that will be instrumental in the game and the win is based on those selected players. Just a thought.

Same thing when I won back to back Champions League finals, the first one 4-1, I had 2 defenders score and 1 defensive midfielder and one midfielder, my player with 164 goals in 147 games only assisted twice.

Then the next season in the final, we won 1-0 in the 88th minute from my DC “Mucci” he actually performed amazingly in the huge matches

Lol, I was just telling narrative writer about our 'coincidental' DC scoring 1-0 last minute final wins.

If we buy 4 star young FTs, it only cost 30 plus greens to train a 50 SA with world class regimes. We should also try to use those drills which the player has low skills. I think it isn't costly if keeping player for a 5-6 seasons. I can't tell it is effective but I have been playing without SA and support and do ok. I read there is an effect but is minimal. But alot of things have minimal effect but might be substantial when combined.

SA, bonuses, attendance, support, morale, condition have all been said to have only a little effect but when you have it all. It might just be what helps you beat a troll result for example.

Pretty sure that SA are cosmetic or have a very small effect in game, also suspect that the 10% bonus thing is a myth and doesn t work also.

Alot of people say that. But when I look at the some of the very successful managers through associations. Their players all have SAs. Small effect but 30 plus greens isn't much when you average out over 5-6 seasons. since it doesn't cost much to train, why not?

At the lower levels the 30 greens is quite something, it s not that i can t afford but i don t see the point of it.Might do it later, but for now i don t see any effect with or without them.
Once i had a godly team, even godlier than what i have now 123% quality, all with SAs and i couldn t get through the CL groups because 2 oppos were 1 lvl higher, and similar or under my quality with no SA and they both went through.
So what s that all about?

It's true what you mentioned. It's a small effect so we can't count on it to guarantee us anything. Anyway, you played long enough to see alot of undeserving semi active teams beat strong active teams right? We can't beat what the game engine wants.

For training SAs, I think it not about low level. It's about world class training and choosing the drill which the players has the lowest skill. I followed one of the guides. I can't rem which one it was now. I think I used press the play which was my only world class at that time and I used it on attackers with very low defensive skills. I only bought 2 18 year old FTs attackers this season due to budget constraints early this season.

Hmmm, not sure about that. I always see the defensive wall, aerial ability, corner, playmaker, shadow striker and FK SA icons.
