Did you buy new players? Could be that those new players have no link with your player. In other words because of those new players your best player plays poorly.

He went from 2.12 goals to 1.2 goals per game.

True, the player I named after you scored just in the match I am attending. As you were saying you hope he is a FT, besides the point, he definitely has dropped off in his form.
