I opened the thread later than usual xD

Last season we won the 2nd Poker in our 100th season. This season I'll be concentrated in the Nations League IInd Ed. 3vs3 administration, and next season we will do a Nations Cup 3vs3 open for all federations, in a 1vs1 Nations format.

I was ready but then I started off the season with a loss :p

Won the CL and lost the Super Cup last season, finished 3rd in the league (had it not been for a troll tie in the second half of the season, I would have won the league).

This season, I am up against a 101% team, who I played and beat in CL R16 last season. I lost the first match 3-2 yesterday, hope I will get the score later today. I noticed that I’ve been getting similar quality teams in the Cup first round for a few seasons now. Is this a thing for higher levels (I am level 51) or has Nordeus tweaked the Cup draws?

Yeah, I bought it.
It's not good this season, but I mean it's 5 bucks a month, I don't really care. If I don't spend the money here, I buy some other nonsense I don't need from it. :D

The loan player also not really worth it, for me at least. Ok sub for this season.

I’d like to think that it’s bad luck. I got drawn against a 101% team in Cup, I played at 102% in the first game (could not attend due to bad time). Increase to 106% in the second game with some training but lost both matches. I also played 102% teams in both CL and league’s first games, managed to get a tie only in the last one. I just hope that I will win tomorrow against 83% in the league :)

I don’t know why but Cup first rounds are not against some abandoned 60% team anymore. Last season was also close call but I was through then.

What a start to the league... Two first games were home against bit weaker teams that I usually beat, so I was hoping for 4-6 points. First one I somehow lose 2-6 because my defence doesn't function at all. Second one I absolutely dominate, score an early goal, create chances all the time, but miss everything or have the opposing GK save them (made 8 saves, MOM with 9,1 rating). Of course I let in a late equalizer and it finishes 1-1.

I was hoping to challenge two stronger teams for the league win. I suppose I now have to beat them in all our games against each other because they surely won't lose points against such teams...

I totally feel you guys. Last season I lost the league title to a 10 % stronger team after beating them but drawing in the second to last game against a 20 % weaker team. I quit after that, lol. This season I've just let things take their own way. Logged in today just to check, and to my surprise - total dominance: 5/5 wins and 26-1 goal differential.

When I was active I usually struggled really hard against inferior teams, sometimes mustering a 1-0 win in the last minutes only. When I logged in today my team was playing a game already. So checked it out and was surprised I was winning 8-0 with a red card to my lone MC on that. Weird.

I noticed that in the Cup first round as well. I was shocked when the opposing manager showed up although I won 7-0. 😂

On a more positive note, I won today's cup leg 6-0 away against a team whose avq is a bit better than the league teams I couldn't beat, lol.

My league draw is really tough this season. There are 6-7 teams that have AvQ higher than me and they are all active. I already lost to one and got a draw against another. I think I’ll “keep it casual” this season and try my luck in SL next season instead of CL.

Unfortunately, The last night i got eliminated from the cup by an 'average team' in top 32 stage. We've lost the unbeaten streak after 3 seasons. I had postponed my power training session till the 21th of this month as hoping to see the release of new event, plus it's the time of new sponsor assignments and getting off scot-free in that period, but i got caught weak in defense and my team was not strong enough yet in overall quality i would desire lol. :D We conceded 2 corner goals, for the reason that my DC player has perfect penalty ability which is given 'random' in last sponsor. I didn't even see the 3rd goal while i was rushing hell on tactics lol.

I struggled to take control of my team and getting no response like amateurs for the third time as far as i remember. It's equally funny and sad ending i couldn't defend my title.

Has anybody got info whether there will be New Jersey for clubs already in shop, or maybe new clubs?

Have been mostly inactive this season with occasional inlogs just to check out how things are going after last season's debacle. My team was stronger by the end of last season than the season prior to that rendering stronger opposition this season. But apparently as long as you're inactive, that's all that matters. This season, I've (well, actually, the AI since I haven't been around) literally trounced all opposition in both official games and association while being inactive except for the association games. Last season I really struggled against even easier opposition while being active. I guess this game rewards inactivity. Either that, or my managerial skills suck.

First place after 13 rounds. Interesting so far, only 3%-4% difference in quality between the first 6 on the table, so looking forward to second part of League.

Apparently temporary inactivity did my team well. I'm not surprise. Last year, I lost control of my team due to the loss of facebook access. But I could see my team from its asso, and it won a quadruple.

I hardly attend matches too. It's a good game for working adults. Been like this forever, the last time I played. I was advised to watch matches from a second account instead of attending so the old birds here are definitely aware.

Well, that hardly incentives activity. But I agree. Things have gone much smoother apparently. Just won another game 5-0 this morning by being inactive.

The cup game between my opponents was full of drama for each other like UCL final in 1999.

Due to other commitments this season I’ve only attended about 50% of my games. Based on this, being inactive doesn’t really help in the league and cup matches when the other manager shows up. However in the friendly championship and association games, things are different - in these situations, being inactive helps a great deal, because when I show up I get players sent off, concede penalties and receive regular thrashings - scenarios that never happen in the league, cup or when I don’t attend assoc/friendly championship games.

When you have a fight for league title with another manager (both around 150%), win the second match vs him 4-0 to be 8 points ahead and he deletes you from friends list. :D Now we will play again in cup final without being friends.

Btw he was the one sending me friend request before the season started.

Cup final soon. Will be a tough match. He's been powertraining all day I think. I'm old faithful
