Corner Specialist + Playmaker

I had a MR/AMR with a Corned Specialist SA when I gambled for the second SA and got the Playmaker.

Recently I've noticed, that the player has both the CS icon when taking the corner, and Playmaker if the goal was scored. Now I wonder, do these two combine for corners effectiveness.



The player was pretty effective before as a sub, but now got a permanent position in the starting eleven so I can't compare his effectiveness fairly.

i got news for you mate. special abilities are a cosmetic feature. they have no effect on how your player performs. only training proper white skills will improve him. special abilities used to only come with the icon for scout players. they added the icon to fool people into spending 69T and make them believe. now with special sponsor they hand out these icons for fun. it's funny how they give you a corner kick specialist but when you look in your players crossing ability it hasn't increased so it's BS.
they are just fancy fake icons that mean nothing at all

It isnt cosmetic at all. For example free kick specialist - with this your player shot free kick with an angle.
But for example corner kick ability for middle players are just useless because skills required for this ability is greyed out.
But when developers not even says what certain ability do - that is their problem that most functions in the game are just titles with no explanation.

free kicks all have angles. with or without freekick specialist. how can he be FK specialist when his shooting ability is low ? you need to train white skills for shooting and finishing to improve at FKs. special abilities are FAKE ! just an icon. nordeus are kidding you all

Free kick taker without special ability would never shoot with an angle (in animation). Animation always be a straight line

no... not really, but you can use that playmaker player to takes FK, but not with CK SA. playmaker is like 2 for 1.

i agree, and who cares with angles or no angles, as long its hit the target, then its great.

I always use Playmaker + Corner on my DMC.
Reason : My DMC is supposed to be the "engine" of my attacks, so he needs high % passing. Having that, I'd give him a corner ability too, because - high passing, and corner is about precise passing ( at least in the real life ).
Never regret it so far. Having the 2nd place ( in my team ) in assistances made.
So, it's not a bad idea ( at all ) having these 2 abilities on 1 player. Preferable on a MC or DMC, works like a charm for me

Ability free-kick and corner specialist don't add 20% to shooting and crossing?

If we speak about real life, I'd say that corners use more crossing than passing skill. If this is somehow true for the game, then (A)ML/R are better candidates, since (D)MC's don't have white crossing. My AML has 217% passing, 246% crossing and 50 assists in 46 matches this season (#1 in my team).
