The game seems to now be rigged heavily in favor of paying players. Been unable to make it past the R016 in both cups for the past 5 seasons irrespective of opposition quality or my own tactics. Anyone else think this might be true?

Just read my post here: https://forum.topeleven.com/top-elev...m-working.html
Many of us are in the same situation.
I believe the game is rigged at all effects and in many ways. I often wondered. For example, how can one win 5-0 and then with the same formation and tactics against the same team with the same formation lose the next game 3-1 ? Unlikely that a team that is 11% weaker and rightly loses the first game 5-0 has to have an internal rigging to win the next game 3-1 in which, the GK seemingly was blocking every shot, and my best players miss every shot even the easiest. The opposing team with less than half the shots on goal has a higher shot accuracy. This cannot be simply explained by saying that the ability of the opposing manager determined their win. The other manager does not have any control over how many shots my players miss or how good their GK plays, that is all computer action that determined that that team had to win. This is evidence of rigging that has very little to do with the managers' abilities to prepare and manage and has nothing to do with players' higher white skills etc. Incidentally, my team had a higher % difference than in the first game when it won 5-0. By the way, remember also if you attend the game and by chance, the other manager does not, you will be playing against the computer alone and therefore when one plays against a computer alone one will be more likely to lose the game. Often you are better off not attending the game, especially if your team is stronger.
All this proves that the results are rigged to the satisfaction of the computer which decides who wins and loses and by how much regardless. Of course, if and when we play against a much, much weaker team we will win, and even then. I will give you another example. In the league, I had a team slightly weaker than mine, and yet even playing against much weaker teams they scored more goals than mine and therefore were able to retain first place by goal difference. Who determines how many goals we score? It is not the managers' ability, it's not so much formation and tactics, it's not even the % of the difference between teams. It's the computer that decides the amounts of goals one team scores. Therefore the computer ultimately decides everything that is decisive. It does not matter how many W in the column, what matters is if the computer decides. One can win the league or arrive second by sheer goal difference and that has nothing at all to do with preparation or anything else. The computer will ALWAYS decide who wins and loses the games that count to obtain a determined result. All games mean nothing if the determining games are lost. You can advance to the final of all competitions and then lose all the decisive games for two reasons, first reason if the teams are close in % by computer decision, secondly, by having to play a game against a team that is too strong to beat. This entire game is rigged. Last season I had an injury almost every other game, sometimes two games in a row. That never had happened before. That is rigging plain and simple. I often wonder, why are they making us win all these pitch patterns? I cannot prove it but could it be that there are things embedded in the pitch patterns that make games go one way or another? Even in the players themselves, especially the players who they allow us to win or give us, is there something embedded in these players that can determine how the games will go? We have to wonder so at the end of the day I made my peace with this game. I will no longer be upset. If the computer decides to make me arrive where I do it will have less to do with my ability as a manager or anything else. Of course, I ALWAYS, keep my team at max preparation on all levels. my players are ALWAYS minimum superb morale and 99% rest, my teamplay training is always at its max. This also shows that the game is rigged. Do all you can to keep your team prepared to the max, do your best to find the right tactics, those count more than formations. I used to always seek to try to find a counterformation. Pick two. I used 4-2-3-1 and if I had to play defensive 4-5-1V that's it. I found I won more that way than trying to always counter a formation. Just go with the flow, once you have done all you possibly could do, your job is done, the rest is all COMPUTER DECISION. If it likes you for that game you will win it if not you will not. That's in decisive games by the way. The rest as I said count little or nothing. Good playing

The evidence is too overwhelming to be denied, I said it and I will repeat it, the computer up to a certain percentage of difference between teams will 98% give the win to the stronger team, and the other 2% is divided between draw and loss. Any game between teams under a 12% difference is determined on a percentage average. The closer in % quality the teams the greater the choice goes to the computer. The game's computer acts by independent decisions based on positions teams must have at the end of the season. I have noticed undeniable patterns that confirm this fact. Everyone can sit here and deny it, tell me it's me, say I'm not a good manager, I don't understand the game, I must train white skills, and on and on we go. This game is designed for them to make money. The more money you spend the better the computer will make your results be. One way one spends is by investing in rest boosters, tokens, morale boosters, and preparation, training teamplay playbooks, etc. Of course, the more you spend in these ways the better you will do, however, it is not a given fact that you will win trophies. Doing good can mean as I did last season arriving second in all competitions. Although those are honorable results there is no trophy to lift. I have a lot of honorable results. It's easy to think as I said you are doing well if you are winning all the games against much weaker teams placing you in the top three of the league and making you advance to the finals but then when you play decisive games even against slightly weaker teams you end up losing. Many claim it's the manager's fault. That would be true if you allowed to let the team go, not training it, not getting the team to the max bonuses, not having rested players, and not boosting the team's morale. If you always keep your team at its max, have a good formation with players who are right for that formation, and choose adequate tactics based on the Top Eleven advisers, what determines if you lose against a team 10% weaker? What determines that loss? It cannot be preparation, it's not the formation, nor the tactics, so what is it then? The other team can not be better than yours by all means, how much more preparation can a 10% weaker team have to beat you? I will tell you, NONE! The result has to be determined by the computer. If the computer considers all things and still determines that a 10% weaker team deserves to win, what factors does it base itself to order such a result? I will tell you what it is; it has to give that result to make you reach the position that has already been determined by the game. There are no other reasons period. These poor misguided folks on here who think they re such great managers and believe that their advice will change or mean something are just that, misguided and they deceive themselves still thinking they are so good and successful because of their coaching prowess. Maybe once upon a time in this game, all those things meant a lot more. Today it is no longer the case. This game is rigged to provide the results it wants to provide and every game is the result of the outcome it wants to have. Pay a lot and of course, if you have a team that is always 20% stronger than all the teams you play against chances are you will always win. If you do not you just simply be tossed to and fro by the whims of the computer's choices The bottom line simply is this, you get placed in a competition, and based on the quality of all the teams you will have decided outcomes only in the decisive matches. Of course if in your league you are the third-strongest team, for example, you will pretty much trounce every team, this will always keep you within the first three, however, of those three the computer will ultimately decide who will win the league and the computer will decide the decisive matches to allow the three top teams to achieve the results that were already predetermined. Who do you think determines how many goals your team scores, your ability as a coach? Come on now! I have seen how many goals, and easy shots, are missed in any given match. Whose fault is that? The managers? Come on, let's be realistic. How many games did we win or lose because either the opposing team could not score and we did and vice versa? Even playing against a much weaker team who determines how many goals one scores? You can lose the league title by goal differential, so what's the story? These guys who think they make a big difference through their managing skills are simply dreaming for the most part.
If they can get us to think that all they say we must do we need to do then they got us. If we watch videos they make money, if we buy tokens and other resources and offers they make money. No matter how you see it they make money, and that is what they want. The more convinced you become that all you do matters the more money they will make, Of course, what we do matters some but not nearly as much as many think. It's all a ploy to make us spend in some way.

The bottom line is this, train the team to keep it at its max with the least expense possible, and then just hope that the computer likes you and favors you, One thing you can do is figure out what mentality the computer likes your team to play. For example, in some seasons it reacts negatively to normal or defensive and reacts well to attacking mentality. In some seasons I used attacking and did not do well while I would do very well with normal. Never did well with defensive or hard defending ever, even against stronger teams.
Without a doubt. This game is rigged in every aspect at every level, whether you're talking about matches or events. Anyone that still thinks they're playing a legit football manager simulation game does not have a clue what they are doing. Let's face it, they're here to make money and exploit players as much as they can whether you like it or not.
If you're shocked by that wait until you find out what they're doing with your data after you accepted the T&C.
I have a question in this thread which I believe is legitimate, did this ever happen to you? This happened to me many times and I saw it happen many times before. All the players suddenly are playing in positions that ought not to play? I have had stretches of seasons where the AMC became the ST and the ST suddenly became the AMC where the MC began to play the whole game on the flanks even though I had AML and AMR and they were not ML or MR. The AML and the AMR playing in the MC positions. Talk about rigged, if all our players are playing out of position then the game is thrown out of sorts.
