If someone ever found themselves buying cash for tokens they might've wished they signed an academy player - I signed 1 as an experiment last year and I got more for him than if I had bought cash. (It wasn't intentional I was just 'seeing what and academy player was like'). Could've been a 1 off, might be the norm, maybe different at lvl 2...... I don't know. The story continues.

Well fair enough, everyone's entitled to their opinion though. It's not a fact that they aren't ever worth the tokens. I tend to see if I need that position, if they are significantly better than my current substitute/reserve for that position, if there are many similar players on the market who I can get for fewer tokens and if I have enough tokens. Often I don't sign them. But I wouldn't say that you should never sign them.
