I'm in the UK and I'm lucky if I can watch 10/15 vids a week.

You can get the same, if not more packs by watching the vids on Facebook.

Sometimes the vids won't work at all for a week.

I can assure you I'm not exaggerating at all, I've been watching vids just about every day, and like July Fourth I am in the UK
The timing of when they are available seems very random, but I get up for work at 6am Monday - Friday and they are on most mornings at this time, they also seem to be available at 7:15pm and 10:15pm most days too.

Don't get me wrong, as I'm a Token buyer too, but the bulk of the packs I use come from watching Vids.

It depends on your region. I've only seen videos on my iphone two times in 3-4 months!!! so i gained max 10 red packs...

The great thing about playing on ios is the tapjoy option!!! I would guess i made about 100 tokens in the last weeks by installing those apps

Apple users are unlucky in the area they can't root their phones, only jailbreak it which will still give them less freedom than a non-rooted Android phone.. I don't care :P

Videos vary from country. Also using videos via ios consumes the fb ones. Whenever i watched them on ios, fb ones disappeared and vise versa. As for android, you got tokenads and sponsorpay's offers which ios has not, and those are most of times better than the 1-2 videos available per week.
