Is my 4-5-1 V not good enough to counter this hardcore attacking formation? Should I keep on with it or change to different formation like a 4-5-1 flat with all wingers motivated or anything ???

remove AML and AMC , play with 2 MC , 1 AMC and 2 Strikers , 1000 % sure you will beat him in next game

Try get one for one token if you can. Having all positions is good as you can play with any formation

If not then play 3N-3W-1-2W-1

You lost 2-1 away, that's an advantage. You have 49% possession despite he has 5% advatantage of possession at home. How are you being outplayed? Just by looking at the information you provided I can tell his team has slight quality overall better than you and he's more confident than you since he's taking the attack approach. your formation is nothing wrong but gives you no advantage. You basically went for man for man in every part of the pitch. He has 5 attackers vs 5 of your defenders and you had 3 attackers vs 3 defenders. only difference is when he attacks he can dribble shoot or pass to the left and right while you run to the byline to cross or cut inside, he has more options than you. you don't need an AMC or whatever. Use your strongest quality and attack him. either use another mc to control midfield, or use 2 St to give more attack, don't believe that bs you need a DMC because he has AMC, if you follow all that basically you always on the defensive mode. sure you might worry and think you are outnumbered in defense but at the same time you outnumber him on his side of the pitch. To be safe play with 2 DMC and sacrifice either aml or amr after you score. If you follow those rules of man for man marking defense against this

Defensive formation

I agree with this formation except that you can choose to go with 2 strikers instead of the AMC.
Another possibility is to go with 3N-3W-3W-1, and play down the flanks.

He has 2 MCs and 3 DCs, you should be going at him hard down the flanks. AMR/AML are very important to have if you dont play the natural 4-4-2 and they give you so much more in terms of flexibility of formations. If you had them, you would pwn him
