Any chance a 4-3-1-2 would work well, because my amc would keep his dmc busy and vice versa and then my strikers could deal with the defenders , all whilst my 4 defenders take care of his aml and strikers

Having free players in attack is better in my oppinion, if he has DMC, go with AML/AMR and not an AMC, they would have more free space to attack thru the flanks.
But still.. i don't think yuo would have any problem winning as long as you set your formation in a right way, don't do anything crazy. go get your 10% bonus, watch your game and you'll be alright.
