I can never see the point in retaining a flat back four if the opposition uses only one or two strikers.
Your just wasting the use of one player when he could be used in MF or attack.

Take a look to he's team, he don't have players like you or me, I really forgot when I played last time with 4 defenders for few good seasons, I'm playing only with 3 because they are good, 5/6 stars always but at him is something else

Nothing wrong with him playing only a back three, though, if that's all that's needed, less skilled defenders stop my attackers all the time. He has a 4* MC in his reserves, could easily play 3-1-4-2.

You said something good but IMO he don't have such a strong team, it would be better if he would quit that MR and add the MC 4-1-3-2

Midfielders to be like ML - MC - MC, it won't be any problem for him as long he have an DR

We all know that lol..he could quite as easily drop one of the 3* defenders, though, or rotate between the two depending on whether he needs to attack or defend.
