Funny moments haha. Made me remember when I was a kid (beginning of 90's), there was a match between two countries. The winner would play against Viet Nam. Both teams were fighting hard to score against themselves. And the opposition were making a lot of effort not to let it. None of them wanted to face Viet Nam.Quote:

This Caribbean Cup had a strange rule. Matches would never finish with a draw. If it was it, they would go to extra time. And 1 goal on extra time would value 2 goals (?!?!?!) hahaa
Barbados needed 2-0 (or 3-1, 4-2, 5-3...) to qualify. The match was ending Barbados 2-1 Granada. Then Barbados decided, on purpose, to make an own goal. 2-2 and then match gone to extra time. They scored a goal (here 1=2!!!) and they won 4-2 haha

For me it's not the challenge to win those contests with my main team, NIK , but to win it with my reserves, the teams I have and trying to remain in the same level as i don't have the time to play competitive the game.

If the tanking team is your main, I guess you are concentrate when you 're playing a league game (to loose) or a Cup /asso game and try to win.

This league was an interesting "challenge" for me but the general idea is silly.
We must have the opportunity to declare that we want to stay in same season, with 0-3 in every game and no gaining (I don't do that to increase q).
Only been active for asso games.
Or a save/load option.

continuing previous post, new season for my two tanking teams.
Before the new season, I un-friend ALEX and D- ΔΡΑΧΜΗ, so to avoid being in the same league.
Indeed, the draw put them in different leagues.
This time, all the opponents are bot teams.
You can recognize them from the adjectives for their names.
Old game players must remember when we were searching fast trainers from those teams.
Poison Ivy, Liverpool and tosdiva are also playing in bot Leagues.
I can see them because ALEX has similar quality and playing together in the Cup (but not D as it has much lower quality).
So here we see that a basic rule of fixing the draw of the League, doesn't exist (similar q teams).
Those teams have double the q of the other teams.
It's another "trick" to push those tanking teams to promote.
But usually they are aware and switching formations can loose (easy or not) from bot teams.
If someone drop (maybe temporarily ) the game with his normal high q players and a descent formation promotes, probably as champion.

I have a team at LV15 which is staying there from last year, when the old TE2014 version stopped and I could manage more than one team as I did before (3 teams, 3 open browsers at the same time).
My lap top cannot handle this newer (Unity) version of TE.
I 'm playing with RIN... only is asso games with some old friends, members of the Greek forum.
This contest was interesting, even if the prize wasn't anything interest - just a + 15% Creativity for the captain.

Actually that's what I 'm doing with one of my teams.

At LV2 won the League and at LV3 won the treble and promote to LV4.

The last 4-5 seasons I have the same basic squad of 8 players without any extra training, just the daily for the bonus.
The most difficult part is that you need to be careful and switch the squads for every game of the day.

I have few mega teams in my server. They are above 150%+ strong. So any other teams in my server has almost no chance to win any trophy. The mega teams bully us. I ended my season at 120%.
So if I tank, can I avoid those mega teams in future? I am bored of playing for nothing in every competition..

This season again in Gold 1 and it was close to promote again in Platinum.

I couldn't stay anyway at Platinum, so I would gain 100 tokens this season and 0 for demoting again to Gold.

We are at season 110 and there is something new at game mechanics (at least I saw that for 1st time).
If using another player instead of GK, there isn't a ball possession penalty.
I have another team, has no quality players, only few 0 tokens academy players and some veterans.
All 2-3* player.
I want to stay in the same lv so I used an attacker for GK.

The impressive wasn't my victory, but the b.p. which didn't have any penalty for illegal GK.
Usually those games give a 40-60% b.p. or a 35-65%.

This is an asso group I made with six of my teams.
I started this before 9 months and this season, after the first two week ends, gathered 1334 points.
I didn't want to promote to Platinum division so I removed 3 of the 6 teams and didn't get any games for this weekend or the next one.
Also didn't want to put "tanking" formations and add bad stats in review.
Then I 'll add the other 3 teams and gonna play again in Gold 1.
My teams are less than avg I would say. Some are using those 3* veterans, given by the game.
I don't have the time to find and buy players, to do training or farming.
Just put some descent formation (I use 4-5-1V for all, so not get confused) and usually def/counters/high pressing - at least for the 1st round.

So remember, a group of three doesn't play games but still next season there is a reduce of 20% in points.

- Teams that staying in the same level, don't get the tokens reward of associations.
So, I broke up the asso groups I had with my teams.
No fun but less stress.
- Game engine picks randomly teams from level 1 and promote them to LV2 from positions 13-14.
Usually that was happening at leagues near to the top of the server, to complete League above.
And very often from 9th place in lower levels.
But not from 13-14, LV1. That's new.
TIGRAN had 132 % quality, promoted to LV2 and has 112%

- Teams from LV1 are playing with +2 levels in the Cup.
They are LV3 but with very low quality, actually they are abandoned teams, no threat for high quality LV1 teams.

As I said in other posts, the best is to organize the Cup and C.L. with teams from different levels (but have a range of +-10 levels, not a lv2 team vs a lv72),
with a draw based in quality and playing with FA quality, not LV.
This season my wish came true.
At old times I used to play with 3 or more teams every season.
But now, as there is lack of time and the game isn't the same anymore as before 3 years, I have parked them.
As I want to keep them in the same level, I use illegal formations so to loose the games and stay same League lv.
The bad thing is that I concede super domination scores against.
I have made a suggestion before a long time, to declare that I don't want to play this season (also another one , the save/load option).
Something similar happened this season to a team I have TIGRAN.
Not that something changed but because of a bug. (and no GK position)
The game from day one of the season, even if I renew some contracts and got some 2-3* veterans to complete my roster, cannot see those players
so in every games considers that I don't have 11 eligible players so gives me a draw (in stats).

I played the last 4-5 seasons , won the treble last one and now I want to make a break for 2-3 seasons as I don't have this period enough time for two teams.

One of the most annoying things in tanking is when some managers are staying in the same level for ages, building a super team 8-9*.
The super-tankers.
Annoying is that every season they win the Cup and many of them the CL too (as they have the option to play again in the CL/SL of next season).
I faced one of them, TASOS LIVERPOOL in the semi finals of my Cup with RINO.

As I said before, staying/repeating a level is a great option but there must be a limit.
After the second season of repeating level, no more development of the players.
I also face a similar tanker last season in cup final. He was also a friend who was higher lvl then me then i crossed him lvl wise but still his team was OP. 156% IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN!! that means he had 176% in his lvl( i am lvl 28 he was 27) i was a measly 119%.in the cup final it was the most epic moment, i defeated him 2-1 i had a single supporter and he had 22!! My gosh. Still i beat him using the ideas i got through threads i find here and yes"the tatician" thread from kris helped me a lot. Now this season i am in a league where almost all are huge tankers and really strong opponents. God help me. Hahah
