    [Official] Playstyle Types

    ATTACKER PLAYSTYLES

    [Official] Playstyle Types-poacher.png
    POACHER:
    • Roles: ST
    • Description: Scoring goals is the Poacher's only focus. Always waiting on the edges of the opponents' defensive line, any ball he finds in the penalty area can become a hazard.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-false-nine.png
    FALSE NINE:
    • Roles: ST, AMC
    • Description: A skilled ball driver, the False Nine receives the ball deep and brings danger to the surroundings of the box, forcing DCs to break their position.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-target-man.png
    TARGET MAN:
    • Roles: ST
    • Description: The Target Man is a magnet for aerial passes in the attacking line. He'll either finish or hold up the ball against the DCs and wait for teammates to join the offensive.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-enganche.png
    ENGANCHE:
    • Roles: AMC
    • Description: The Enganche is a quick-minded skilled driver that connects midfield and attack, moving the ball forward fast. He displays great technical and assisting skills.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-inside-forward.png
    INSIDE FORWARD:
    • Roles: AMR, AML
    • Description: The Inside Forward will cut into the open space and create a scoring opportunity for the STs, or engage the goalkeeper directly and finish himself.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-winger.png
    WINGER:
    • Roles: AMR, AML, MR, ML
    • Description: Wingers are a synonym for danger from the flanks. Their incursions are a nightmare for DLs and DRs because of their crosses, speed and dribbling skills.

    MIDFIELDER PLAYSTYLES

    [Official] Playstyle Types-false-winger.png
    FALSE WINGER:
    • Roles: MR, ML
    • Description: Deployed on the wings, False Wingers drift to central areas of the pitch, creating a numerical advantage in the midfield that disrupts and overwhelms rival defences.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-mezzala.png
    MEZZALA:
    • Roles: MC
    • Description: A Mezzala brings dynamism to the midfield and feeds their teammates with his passing skills and space creation. Teammates with high mobility will get the most from him.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-box-box.png
    BOX TO BOX:
    • Roles: MC
    • Description: Present in a large area of the field, the Box-to-box MC appears wherever needed, supporting other midfielders. He can take part in both attacking and defending plays.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-regista.png
    REGISTA:
    • Roles: MC, DMC
    • Description: The Regista is a director. With only few yet very precise and effective actions he’ll get the ball deep in his own half and set up the attacking phase of the team.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-ball-winner.png
    BALL WINNER:
    • Roles: DMC
    • Description: A mainly defensive midfielder, the Ball Winner is very proficient at steals and tackles. He holds the line, gets the ball and gives it to the playmaker.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-anchor-man.png
    ANCHOR MAN:
    • Roles: DMC
    • Description: The Anchor Man stands in front of the defensive line. He anticipates any opposing action in that area, and distributes the ball to players in more forward positions.

    DEFENDER PLAYSTYLES

    [Official] Playstyle Types-no-nonsence-dc.png
    NO NONSENSE DC:
    • Roles: DC
    • Description: A No-nonsense DC has one job: to clear the ball out at the slightest sign of danger. He acts fast and decisively, leaving no room for flourishes or mistakes.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-stopper.png
    STOPPER:
    • Roles: DC
    • Description: Stoppers are blunt but precise when it comes to neutralising the attackers' attempts to score. They are experts in marking and tackling. A life insurance in the box.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-ball-playing-dc.png
    BALL PLAYING DC:
    • Roles: DC
    • Description: Ball-playing DCs are a balanced mix of defensive solvency and technique. They stop attacks and fluidly pass the ball to the midfield, or hold it to calm the waters.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-full-back.png
    FULL BACK:
    • Roles: DR, DL
    • Description: Full-backs' focus is primarily defence. It's their job to stop hazards coming from the sides, even if they will occasionally support fast-paced offensives from their flanks.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-wing-back.png
    WING BACK:
    • Roles: DR, DL
    • Description: Wing-backs are defenders that thrive on attack. They run up their flanks, overlapping side midfielders, and giving crosses or dragging opposing defenders' attention.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-ball-playing-gk.png
    BALL PLAYING GK:
    • Roles: GK
    • Description: A Ball-playing GK can play with his feet, contributing to the team's passing game. He can help build up the offensive play or trigger a counter attack with a well-aimed pass.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-sweeper-keeper.png
    SWEEPER KEEPER:
    • Roles: GK
    • Description: The Sweeper Keeper feels comfortable playing out of his area, rushing out to intercept opponents' long balls. A proper 11th outfield player whenever needed.

    [Official] Playstyle Types-box-commander.png
    BOX COMMANDER:
    • Roles: GK
    • Description: The Box Commander imposes his rules in the box. His presence, both physically and mentally, intimidates the most seasoned STs. He becomes a giant on the goal line.

They forgot one forward type --

    BULLDOG STRIKER:
    Roles: ST
Description: The Bulldog Striker uses pure brute strength to muscle past defenders to put the ball into the net. He is seldom injured by virtue of his strength, although speed is not his forte.

Good question - yes, every Playstyle is compatible with available Special Abilities for the given role, so you can develop both in parallel and empower your players through different skill sets.

I don't quite understand how the playstyle description is connected with the playstyle level (2x, 3x, 4x multipliers)...
For example, for the Winger we have: "Wingers are a synonym for danger from the flanks. Their incursions are a nightmare for DLs and DRs because of their crosses, speed and dribbling skills."?
And for the intermediate level the effect is 2x, but what is the effect? Are they twice as dangerous? Or is there a boost to "crosses, speed and dribbling skills", and this boost is doubled?
And if so, then what about "A No-nonsense DC has one job: to clear the ball out at the slightest sign of danger. He acts fast and decisively, leaving no room for flourishes or mistakes."
    What will be doubled here?
    Moscow United, level 10,
League wins: 8, Cup wins: 8, CL wins: 7,
    Wins: 397, Draws: 16, Losses: 12,
    Top scorer: 9, Quadruples: 7.
