Which tactic AND orders should I use to beat this christmas tree:

    -------ST--------
    ---AMC--AMC----
    ---MC-MC-MC----
    -----------------
    DL---DC--DC--DR

And which orders (mentality/counter-attack etc) should I use to beat classic narrow diamond?

    Question!

    I understand when playing 4-5-1 V motivated:

    4-5-1 V Style Motivated

    DL(Up)-DC-DC-DR(Up)
    DMC
    MC-MC
    AML(Up)-AMR(Up)
    ST

Orders: normal mentality, mixed passing, through the flanks, rest remains same.

But when should I motivate DMC????

I'm struggling against those that play 4-1-3-2 narrow (3 MCs). These are the suggested tactics:

    DL-DC-DC-DR

Another variation by using the 4-3-2-1:

    4-3-2-1

    ---------ST-------
    AML---------AMR
    ---MC-MC-MC---
    --DL-DC-DC-DR--

    3-3-2-2
    --------ST----ST-----
    AML--------------AMR
    ----MC--MC--MC----
    -----------------------
    ----DC--DC--DC----

but you need to focus on down both flanks and mixed passing , whole pitch offside trap .. no counter attack.

    when talking about 4 3 1 2 you can you use 4-3-2-1

    ------ST-------
    AML(UP)---AMR(UP)
    ---MC-MC-MC---
    --DL-DC-DC-DR--

Mixed passing .. down both flanks .. no counter attack no offside trap .. and it's depending also on the quality of your players and the quality of the opponent ... I hope you can win with this formation ...
Both times I have used the 4-5-1 V style I have ended up drawing. Has anyone got any more tips? I'm not sure that pressing whole pitch and playing off-side trap works?

Attacking mentality, down the flanks, full pitch, normal tackling, mixed passing, zonal marking, no counter, yes offside trap.

And 4-3-2-1 is with 3 MCs and AML, AMR

That sounds good to me. My problem was not scoring, think I had good enough defence. Playing someone using 4-1-3-2 tomorrow, I'll try let you know how it goes. Do you motivate any of your players? (Put arrows on up/down)

No arrows. I never used arrows when I played against 4-1-3-2 and never lost.
