3-3W-1-3... They are defensive so have a go at trying to get the ball forward

    ---ST--ST--ST---
    ------AMC-------
    ML----MC----MR
    ----------------
    ---DC--DC--DC--

Orders: Mentality Attacking, Passing Short, Focus Mixed, Pressing Whole Pitch, Tackling Normal, Marking Zonal, Counter Attack No. Offside Trap Yes.

Pressing whole pitch because they are likely to be passing the ball around a lot in their half of the field with that formation.

    Against 4-1-1-3-1

    ----ST--ST----
    AML-------AMR
    ------MC------
    DML------DMR
    --DC-DC-DC----

Middle DC- Blue Arrows, MC red arrows,

Orders: Mentality Defensive, Passing Mixed, Focus Both Flanks, Pressing Own Half, Tackling Normal, Marking Zonal. Counter Attack Yes, Offside Trap Yes.

    Against Strong 3-2-2-3

    -----ST-------
    ---------------
    --MC-MC-MC---
    -----DMC-------
    DL-DC-DC-DC-DR

Orders: Mentality Ultra Defensive, Passing Long, Focus Mixed, Pressing Own Half, Tackling Hard, Marking Zonal, Counter Attack Yes, Offside Trap No. Don't know quality of other players, presume they are very strong like 7* or 8*, Likelyhood you will probably lose whatever way you decide to play the match.

Never use both counterattack & Offside Trap together. They counter-act eachother. Genreally use the trap when attacking & opponent isn't strong on attack. Use counter attack when being deffensive & have more than 4 players in your backfield. Also against the 3-2-2-3 you don't need the DMC. You could replace him with an AMC or another striker.

Since your team is quite good, Choose Defensive rather than Ultra Defensive, but you can be brave and attack if you want.

I have big time trouble. I play against a team:

    -DR----DC----DL-
    -MR--MC-MC--ML-
    -------AMC-------
    ----ST------ST---

First leg was played at my home and I lost 3-0.

    I was playing:

    -DR--DC--DC--DL--
    --------DMC--------
    -MR-----MC-----ML-
    ---------AMC-------
    ---------ST---------

Normal style.. Zonal Marking.. Own Field... Mixed Passing... Mixed Direction... No Offside... No Counter
DL, DR, DCs with blue arrows
ML, MC, MR, AMC, ST with red arrows

And I lost 3-0 at my home on first leg. My team 46.7 , opponent 41.8

He was probably playing: Defensive + Counter attacking... All Field...Zonal... Down both flanks..(because his ML scored 2 goals)

    At 0-1 I switched to a

    ----DC--DC---DC---
    ---------DMC-------
    -MR------MC------ML
    ----------AMC-------
    -----ST--------ST----

with ATTACKING, MIXED, MIXED PASSING, OFFSIDE, MAN-MARKING, ALL FIELD

but still did not succeed to make a goal!!!!!

HOW CAN I COUNTER IT? ANY TIPS?

I have 2nd leg match today at 20:00 hrs.

    Current Level: 8 Season 8

    6 times League Champion
    1 time Runner Up
    4 times Champions League Champion
