Hi, tomorrow i had a match against 4-5-1 flat.. i read that the best formation is 3-5-2 but i have a ST injuried.. what can i do? can i put an AML (over ML)?

then use 3 5 1 1 with AMC instead of one ST with the same orders and the AMC with red arrows will be too much effective in counter attacks ..

Normal mentality ... down both flanks ... mixed passing ... own half ... counter attack ... no offside trap ... zonal defense ... red arrows at DMR/L & AMR/L.

just after a little advice on this i played against this formation and was beaten 3-1 away from home, he's played the same formation all season and steam rolled all in sight.

if your formation didn't work good with him 1st leg then try 4 4 2 classic with down both flanks and mixed passing and no offside trap and counter attack

hey guyz, i'm playin against 4 4 2 narrow diamond so i was wondering if 4 4 2 flat would be good against it. my quality is better by 1, i'm playing away. if the formation is good, can you please tell me some instructions like passing, mentality etc.. thanks a lot

Omg... as if it was the helpers fault... if you dont know anything about tactics and formations, play tetris man...

I wasn't here and good m8 help him as he could and the give advice was good but nit always the advice work good if you don't have good team.

and if you put any player out of him place then you will absolutely lose ... and the tactics if you didn't commit with all orders given for the counter formation don't expect to win .

Some guys thinks that he can take what he want and leave what he want and expect that he will win and if not, then we are bad guys and don't understand anything.

4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond

The Narrow Diamond is a very effective attacking formation, however the vulnerability of this formation is the lack anything to protect the flanks.

A 4-5-1 V Style formation can take advantage of the flanks of the diamond with an AML and AMR as well as defend against the AMC by using a DMC.

4-5-1 V Style:

DL-DC-DC-DR

Another variation on countering the narrow diamond would be by using the 4-3-2-1:

4-3-2-1

AML---------AMR
---MC-MC-MC---
--DL-DC-DC-DR--

Although there is no DMC with the 4-3-2-1 it is still a very effective attacking formation to counter the Diamond with, mainly because of the strong middle as well as having attacking flanks.
If during the match you feel the AMC is taking advantage, then a simple (DOWN) arrow would be placed on the middle MC which in turn effectively would be turning this formation into a 4-5-1 V Style.
