Cup Final Against 4-3-3 wide. He uses 3 DCs instead of a DL.

    ST-ST-ST

    ML----MC----MR

    ---DC-DC-DC-DR

I was thinking of these formations:
    1. 4-5-1V -> (both flanks) or 4-1-3MC,MC,ML-1(AMR)-1 -> (right flank)
    2. 4-4-2 narrow diamond

What do you suggest? The match is today.

Cup Final vs 4-1-3-2 Wide (Means with ML/MR)
    I think I should use 3-2-2-3
    -ST-ST-ST
    --MC-MC--
    DML---DMR
    -DC-DC-DC-
    What do you think?

I'll answer you only because it's a great match and I hope you won the trophy

If you saw the 1st page you will find this :
    4-1-3-2 Wide
    4-1-3-2 Wide 3

    DL-DC-DC-DR
    DMC
    ML-MC-MR
    ST-ST

    Countered by 3-2-2-2-1

    DC-DC-DC
DML(UP)-DMR(UP) (If using DL/DR as DML/DMR, remove the red arrows)
    MC-MC
AML-AMR (Red arrows if AML/AMR also play as strikers and you want some extra punch)
    ST

Short passing, through the flanks, attacking mentality, zonal marking,
pressing whole pitch with offside trap.
    OR
Own Half, counter attack, defensive, mixed passing

Other formations known to beat 4-1-3-2 Wide 3:

3-1-4-2 and 3-1-4-1-1 using normal mentality, zonal marking, own half, short passing, normal tackling, no counterattack and no offside trap.

But the problem is that I have no AML/AMC/AMR...
And if I use 3-1-4-2 I won't be defending the flanks...
But thanks for answering btw =)

    3-2-2-2-1

    --------DC---DC---DC
    --DMR------------------DML
    ----------MC----MC
    --AMR------------------AML
    --------------ST

Normal, Both Flanks, Own half, Normal tackling, Passing short, Zonal, Force counter.
If you are not winning at H/T put red arrows on AMR/AML and change passing to mixed.
Last 20 minutes if not many chances, or losing.

Attacking whole pitch, passing mixed, remove counter and hit the O/S but I doubt you will need to.

    Hello,

for my final match in the league I am facing the only person who can keep me from finishing first. He uses the 4-4-2 setup.
The previous game I played against him I used the 4-5-1V formation as stated on the first page of this thread.
It was an away match for me and I lost 4-1. I was wondering if there is any other formation that I can use that will give me the edge.
    I need a draw or a win.
Current overall team Quality for me is 27.4, his 23.1.

    Stats of the away game:
    Possesion
    47-53
    Shots
    16-16
    On target
    13-7
    Succesfull passes
    83-79
    Free kicks
    3-1
    Corner kicks
    5-8
    Saves
    2-3
    Tackels
    25-18
    Fouls
    9-13
    Yellow cards
    1-1

My Champions League final against a much stronger side (49 vs. my 38), he's playing a 4-4-2. I want to counter with the 4-5-1 V formation (4-1-2-2-1) but I would be playing two out of position. I have a straight MC in the DMC slot because my DMC is on red card; and I am playing a MR in the right MC position because my other MCs are injured and I have two strong MRs.

I don't know how much I am penalized playing an MC at DMC and a MR in the MC spot. Am I better off with just one player out of position and play my second MR (significantly higher rated by 10) in the DMC spot?
