I Will Quit At The End Of This Season (A Small Review Is Included In This Post)

I have decided to quit this game after the end of this season because I am not satisfied at all with it; it has been too disappointing. This game has become more of a source of annoyance and worry rather than being entertaining. I already considered quitting this game before but gave it another chance by playing another season but, in vain. Below is my review of this game.

    The Good
    • fun (but only in the beginning)
    • new users may learn new things about football

    The Bad
    • too many disappointments
    • poor management simulation
    • poor match simulation
    • too unrealistic
    • limited in important areas such as tactics; absence of individual orders for players
    • absence of artificial intelligence for players; players do ‘silly’ things and don’t follow the orders given to team
    • comments seem to be inaccurate
    • addictive
    • many settings could be visual or have little to no effect in matches
    • many facilities could be visual and have no significant effects
    • inappropriate game response (when changing orders, the response seems to be more like random rather than being logical, and for some cases, there is no response at all)
    • poor academy system
    • strange behavior (I felt that in some matches or during some periods during any season, players have been blocked from performing as they should have according to their quality. The team did not respond appropriately to orders given. For some matches, it is as if no matter what you do, your players are not going to perform well as it has already been decided by the program that your team will perform badly, will lose or will draw. I also noticed that suddenly almost the whole team is put out of form and this bad form is maintained for some time, and this may happen in crucial moments like in the final third of the season, and there is nothing that can be done about it; your team will perform badly and you will draw or lose matches against much weaker teams despite using appropriate counter formations and decent orders.)
    • strange results (draws or loses despite having significant quality advantage and used decent counter formations and orders)
    • excessive injuries from matches despite keeping players in good condition and using squad rotation when needed
    • improper distribution of injuries (an injury almost every day or for every 1-2 matches for a period such as a week)
    • bugs (examples: Jose Mourinho FC has many players assigned as GK for my account and no goal can be scored against this team, profile images of users out of position in the reschedule area for matches)
    • many users have been hurt by playing this game, especially after suddenly losing many tokens in bids or losing matches that they should not have lost
    • users are able to cheat (examples: ability to trick the cup and league draws by selling high quality players at the end of the season and buying low quality players; create multiple accounts to give a main account significant advantage such as providing tokens, extra supporters, 'valuable' gifts, and buying players from the main team)
    • poor communication between developers and users
    • poor user support

Is it worth playing this game?
No, if you are looking for a proper football management simulation game.
No, if you want a game that will respond appropriately to what you input.
No, especially if you are going to spend money on it.
No, if you are still at school or working.
People who have stopped working, are at home and have nothing else to do (bored people) may play this game, but I won’t recommend it even to such people.

Overall, this game is bad. I would describe this game as fun at the beginning, but then, it becomes annoying and frustrating. It is not worth putting time and effort in this game. This game is very poor in terms of ‘value’ given back for the money spent and/or the effort put in by the user. This game is more like a casino game than a football management game.

I couldn't agree more.. with all the above especially this part,

"This game is more like a casino game than a football management game."

I am just in season 14 and its already getting very frustrating,
to MANY strange and very unfair results lately even tho i have a team that is fully fit also in moral and a much better team,
losing it with 0-2 isn't strange i guess

And NO support at all, i have not seen it on this forum yet!?
so yea.. i think i will give up to just because i am not going to get even more frustrated with this as i already am !

    Have a good one, Ray...

Skyqueen did read my private messages though and she said that they will look into some of the things I have reported (which include excessive injuries and the Jose Mourinho FC GK bug). I also mentioned about the auto-assign bug for skill points, and the displeasure of users here concerning the auto-assign for skills points in general, despite that this has not affected me so far because I have not used the mobile application. But, this is after I saw her here; else many things would have stayed as it is. It seems that the company has not assigned people to have enough feedback from users nor is there an appropriate place to report about certain things or ask about things in this game to the appropriate persons at Nordeus. The main website has options only for specific issues or already reported issues. There is also what looks like an old website and an old email address (with T.L.D .eu) through which you can report but it is not guaranteed that the appropriate person will receive the message or that the issue will be examined.

I have already decided to quit this game (final decision) as I think this decision will be more beneficial to me in the long term. There will be less annoyance, less worries, I will waste significantly less money and time, and I will be able to concentrate more on my studies. I feel sad to leave despite all the bad things that I mentioned above about the game, but this is the best decision. It is logical that someone should quit something that does not function enough to his liking, where this something has become more of a source of annoyance and worry, and surely he should stop supporting (including putting in money) that something.

So, maybe those who will continue playing this game will benefit from the messages I sent to skyqueen.

Top Eleven is like a woman, you have to try to understand how she is.

Here the reason why I try to understand how is programmed.... same with women mate.

No. The main problem with this game is that it does not function like a proper football management game. A woman usually functions like a woman should; so, what you have to understand has something logical. But, in this game many things are non-logical in terms of football and management. Neither football nor management are games of dice. In this game, some things are more in the hands of the program (or whatever it is) than in the hands of the team (manager, facilities and players). As a football manager, you need to have more control on how your team plays, more control on individual players and the game should respond appropriately to the settings you have put in. The players should have some sort of artificial intelligence and they should try to follow your orders. As a manager, you should have more power to change the course of things.

What you meant is to understand the 'nonsenses' of this game and play according to these 'nonsenses' and win. But, I can't do things or think about things based on 'nonsenses'. No offence to anyone here. In fact, it is very difficult to try understand something that has no sense in the area concerned when you have a proper way of thinking for the area (where the area here is football, management and tactics). And even when you have understood it, you will be annoyed because you know that this way of functioning is wrong, and you will be disappointed because it is poor simulation, and hence not satisfactory as a proper simulation game. I prefer to win something concerning an area using an appropriate way related to that area (here it should be mostly about football management, tactics and so on) rather than winning something concerning an area using a nonsensical way with respect to that area.

Maybe Nordeus did not appoint the right people in some areas. Maybe if they had some people that knew more about football, tactics and gaming, we would have had a better game. Also, each company has their main targets. Maybe what I wanted or expected from a football management simulation game were not among the main targets of this company.

I would add the following also.
I felt bad when I thought about some of these users that I overbade for players and won, especially those users who went in the higher rounds. I know that some of them have surely been hurt after having lost so many tokens; some may have had a slight depression too.

Sometimes, especially lately, I have allowed other users to get players that I don't desperately need, be it a free agent or a 5 star player that could improve my squad. I prefer to do it this way than causing someone to lose the only few tokens that he has and the the player that he needed too. Sometimes I check his squad or his team details before I bid for the player, and if I see that the user desperately needed that player, I just let him have 'it'. Also, in the first season, when I used to bid for a lot of free agents (something that I stopped afterwards as I preferred to use the bank investment option), I allowed other players to win some auctions for free agents, rather than being greedy and take all the high market value ones.

Good this "usually" talking about functions of a woman, but if we talk about understand how she is.... I keep that mostly is a mistery like T11 LOL

    Kidding appart,

I can understand what you mean, and in some points I'm agree, ridiculous say I'm not, when I joined this forum in 2013 and I started doing suggestions that... never were applied.... just when Nordeus changed the market system and the comunity was against they killed the system lol
I always was agree in that if Nordeus do not listen the comunity and works in the same way, the game will be killed as eRepublik for example... great game with thousands of players and the mods basically did it not playable....

For sure that the game can have more sense, and can be more easy to understand these hidden secrets that determine results, that now are not related to something that can have comprehension, and more things, but we have to see that we are not talking of a Fifa, in which you control the team, you have it in your hands, and basically you can win all seasons.
Some people come here (and to other football manager games, and if you take a look other FB pages of manager games, you will see same complains as here, style -thats a lottery, not real, don't inverst-) and wait for a game that simply, and without have a controller in their hands, putting a better team in star terms, they have to win, .. and seems obvious no? if you don't move the players, just is a 11 vs 11, then buy a better team and done. And this is not the sense of this game. If one day the game work in this way, will disappear for sure..
The spirit and the idea was make managers manage, and one of the things that for some people is hard is to analyze the players, for example, and see that despite 7* they don't give you enough.
In 2 matches FC Barcelona recived 8 goals and in the game you are asking for that will not happen.
I'm agree in some points you have, when many times we talk about managers that don't attend and I'm agree in that who attend have to have some advantadge + in chences, but I'm not agree in some points that gimme the sensation that will create a "plane game", in which results will be determined simply for the +1 star of Q., for a static list of counters that will work 90%, and just setting on a team an amount of stars without use the 6th sense to analyze players despite all, and decide despite Q. and what a player can seem.

I'm agree in that the game need to "show and relate" (as now, with the ratings, that are visible and we see how these work after 5 years...lol) many things that many managers've been suggesting during months, like I did when I suggested that a scenario of aggressivity in a match, or with more % of cards or injuries, can be shown adding a list of referees with different styles of permissiveness or adding weather conditions, so then managers can be more/less aggressive and understand why 1 day broken head without yellow and the next foul+no injury=red.....

So, to finish my intervention, I will say that I'm agree in that dev's have to change many things, but I'm not agree in some sense that you wanna give to the game. So basically I understand you, but as players, we have an idea for the base of T11 that don't have understanding.

Just I hope I explained ma viewpoint, (as usual complicated/ rare for many ppl and not easy to take it in the 1st attempt), and I wish you the best, if you decide to leave T11 adventure, or, you decide play it in a different way.

What I meant by more control is that the player follow your orders or at least try to follow your orders. If a team lost because all the players followed your orders or because they do not have the quality to follow your orders or to fit into the system you have set, then it is acceptable. I never said that the team with the better should win. In fact, during the first few weeks after I joined here, I posted in the suggestion section where I asked for the ability for a weaker to beat a stronger team if the appropriate tactics have been used. Briefly, what I wanted to say above is that this game should function more like a football management game; there should be appropriate responses for every of your actions in this game. But the way it is now, it seems that the players do whatever the program decides just to satisfy whatever the program has calculated as statistics or score, sometimes irrespective of the tactics you have selected. Sometimes, the response or effects are just random. Football is neither a game of dice nor is it a game whose results have been predetermined before it was played. If I wanted to play games of dice, I would have played casino games or board games. The response should be mostly based on management skills with a very small percentage based on randomness; never should some things in a game based on fixed figures or previous statistics, for instance injuries. What should occur in this game should be based mostly on how you managed your team, that is how good a football manager you are and how much effort you have put in it. Of course, those who buy tokens have will have an advantage, as it is in real life where clubs owned by wealthy persons or companies have an advantage.
