I asked the question "what's the fun in tanking?" that doesn't automatically make me a token buyer.

As much as I admire anyone who spends the time to build and train a decent squad of young players who may be able to complete in a league in several months time, I can't personally see an immediate "fun" value to the approach. I'd rather send a team of no-hopers out against the big boys with the aim of winning, not losing.
If I was trying to lose games, month in month out, I would soon become bored and move onto a faster moving, more rewarding game.
I still don't see any fun in "tanking" ........ unless of course .....
Players play with several teams? so leaving a team to lose for a few months isn't so bad, as a player can just concentrate on another team.

One team for me, and I will make sure they try and fight for every point, even if they get done 0-6.

I never said that u buy tokens. I said '"U" to refer it in general. And, even token buyers for that matter tank. And agree on the multiple account point of urs but as I said, I never tanked just to build the team. I had been trolled in and out last season, was kicked out of Cup and CH. League in the first round and group a stage respectively. I had no chance to be in top 4 of the league as there was a power trainer and 2 other token buyers and they had already taken a 15 point lead. So I decided to tank and side by side build my squad. I agree it was a bit boring but hat was the reason I am able to compete against a power trainer this season in the league.

I have been reading these posts with interest, and one point has not been raised at all. How would the logistics of the game work if relegation was brought in?

At the moment, we have leagues of 14 teams, which at the end of the season, 7 of them are promoted, whilst the other 7 remain where they are. So, lets take a typical scenario. Let's say it is level 6. At completion, the top 7 go to level 7 to replace the 7 teams from that level, who went to 8. Back to the original level 6, the bottom 7 teams are now joined by 7 teams coming from level 5. So the numbers balance out evenly.

If relegation was brought in, how would it work? In a league of 14 teams, with the top 7 going up, and the bottom 2 going down, that would leave just 5 teams. With 7 coming up to join them, who would fill the other two places, without a major game reconstruction.

You are saying this league is level 6 for example, right?
At the end of the season:7 are promoted, 2 are relegated to level 5 league and 5 teams remaining (tankers),
Don't forget to add another two teams from the level 7 league which now are relegated to this level 6 league. Simple )))

If you are on the top of your server there will not be any relegations from the level higher, because there isen't a level higher.

And the 5 Teams remaining are not tankers because only 7 can be prometed, so someone have to stay behind.

Last season i had one oponent in CL level 3, that had more 10Q that my Team, i looking for is league and he was 10th, i started to look for His opponent in league and there teams were even higher in Q, it was the league of death.
In my league he would be first without any problem but in that league he couldnt even promote, there were 12 teams full of scouts, just imagine you having a Team full of scouts and cant even reach CLs spots.
In this case those who are against tanking, would do it or not? You could get promoted and end in the same league with them, this is what happens in higher levels, even with a good Team you could be relegated because you just got unluky in the league draw.

Dman2pt pointed the fault out which I thought of but now, tell me, if a level 1 team ends at 13 or 14, where will they go???? They can't go to level 0!!!! Then what about the 2 relegated teams from level 2 who come to level 1???? Where will u fit them???? Believe me, this system won't work no matter what!!!! There r too many faults and too many ways to exploit it.

Here here!!!! totally agree Saransh !!! if it could work (and made nordeus money) it would already be done from the start. !!! but as we see from this thread it's far too difficult to work out lol

Level 1 teams at 13 or 14 would stay in level 1. Relegation would start at level 2. I doubt there will be a placement issue since level 1 leagues are generally filled with bots, so that new players can join at any time during the season.

Though honestly, there really isn't a need for this huge debate over relegation because it would never happen anyways. If developers are taking this long to fix the friendly system, which I code within a few hours while drunk, then an overhaul of the promotion/relegation system would take them a decade. I'm 100% sure I'll be long gone by that time.

    3) Get all morale set to 0 (as would happen in real)
    4) Lower income and token gains for the duration of a season (as sponsorship would naturally decrease)

In fact, they should probably add those negatives to the people tanking on purpose. But there is no way to tell if someone does so on purpose and it's far easier to manipulate what position you end as when you tank on purpose than if you were just not good enough.
there we go, forgot about that losing player/s thing. im sure ronaldo and bale would ditch if real were demoted. thahts the real push people need to avoid intentional demotion

tone down the promotees to 4 and demotees to 2-4

anyways i looked over at the nordeus board, someone requested relegation as part of his 'make the game better' suggestion. its planned by nordeus, dont know if relegations going to be a part of it

all in all, its been a fun debate, shouldve added a poll
