A number of reasons for reduction:
1. Players lose ~ 20% value in addition to the star season on season, so it can make good economic sense.
2. Your best 14 anyway determine your Cup level & opponents.
3. At higher levels $ becomes increasingly important.
4. Also with 2 of my teams being ex 35T leagues, unfortunately there is less sentiment to hold on to players, as they are very competitive leagues.

My style is to have a 5*/6* balanced squad rather than 1 or 2 superstars. IMO some legends of the game have done that (1 x 7*/8*) in 35T leagues and failed spectacularly.

I generally get a minimum of 3 seasons out of players, up to 6 for young neg players. Although have not had a 300+ match player yet.

So today the Davy Gravy Franchise passed the 1000 wins mark. Currently at: 1004W; 189D; 228L.
Looking at 4 trophies for the cabinet.
My selling off is mostly completed with team squads between 16-18.
S17L17 - A very good season - 34 matches (22-8-4). Team still playing variations of 3-3-3-1. 3x6*. Will get 3rd in League. In CL semi. 102.2 AQ. Very importantly financially are $116M ahead of last season. Compared to Mou, my team has: 250k more fans; squad average 4 years younger; = $ in bank; & slightly lower AQ & Team value.




S12L12 – A good season – 37 matches (22-5-10). 2nd in league. 76.9 AQ . Financially are $50M ahead of last season. Compared to Mou, my team has: 200k more fans; squad average 7 years younger; +$70M in bank; = AQ & Team value.










S7L7 – A fantastic season – 39 matches (32-2-5). After 5 tough seasons in the OMA League, the team celebrates back to back titles. 11x6*. More importantly making $46M profit season to date. Compared to Mou, my team has: 50k more fans; squad average 7 years younger; +$20M in bank; 4.2> AQ & +$70M Team value.

S17L17 - A very good season. 3rd in league. 102.2 AQ. $130M profit.

S12L12 – A great season –. League Champion. 77.6 AQ. $90M profit.

S7L7 – A fantastic season. League champions (back to back). 11x6* AQ 54.6. $47M profit.

Davy Gravy S65 All Systems Go

Davy Gravy has kicked off in all competitions today.

S18L18 - 103.5 AQ. 7x5* playing variations on 3-1-4-1-1. Undefeated.

A good start with a win in League & Cup, only draw in CL (which is a tough group). As can see bought 2x~$100M players in MC & AMC. Sold my academy player for $50M.

Striker from last season, leading the line solo, is scoring at a rate of 85% + 2 MOM in 3 games.
Team is on track. $ will become an issue.

S13L13 - 78.9 AQ. 1x6*, 5x5* playing variations on 3-1-3-1-2.

Good wins in League & Cup, unfortunately missed CL game with a 1-0 loss. Bought 2x$50M players MR & ST & sold academy for $25M. Heaps of T & $.

S8L8 55.2 AQ. 15x5* playing variations on 4-1-2-3. Undefeated.

Bought 2x$10M players MR & ST. Good amount of $ & T.

Very happy with start of new MR. Validates my theory of buying very high 3's & 8's for 1T.

Basically Day 1 - 3 will buy very high 3's - 8's upwards for 1T. Day 4 - 14 Neg's almost exclusively except for FA or to fix an unbalanced squad. Day 14 - 24 FA only, unless chasing results then back to Negs.

A solid start. All teams still in all comps & Equal 1st in all 3 Leagues.

S18L18 (10-2-2) Equal 1st in League, & should qualify in CL & Cup.
10x5* playing variations around 3-2-3-1-1.

Whilst lack of recent attendance may have affected results, still happy with team. Also happy with maintaining $ budget at this level.


S13L13 (8-2-4) Equal 1st in League, will qualify in cup tie, struggling in CL group.
3x6* & 5x5* playing variations around 3-1-3-1-2.

Have huge budget in $ & T, so will probably go mad on TM soon, but still will not be able to buy CL qual from group stage. 1st time not making it past group stage.


S8L8 (11-2-1) Equal 1st in League and coasting in CL & Cup.
1x6* & 18x5* playing variations on ND.

Happy with the team & the rarity of playing an ND.

Happy with progress. All teams leading Leagues, all in Cup, 2 in CL.

S18L18 (17-5-2). 1st in League, still in CL & Cup. 2x6* & 12x5* still playing variations around 3-2-3-1-1. AQ 105.6.

Interesting that my 2 top scorers are the red arrow players. Also in League have 3 of the top 5 assist players, so a real team effort.


S13L13 (15-3-7). 1st in League. In Cup, out of CL. 5x6* & 6x5* now playing variations on 3-1-5-1. AQ 81.3.

My MR is League Top Score; Top Assist & Top Rating so happy with this 20y.o. 0T Neg buy.


S8L8 (20-4-2). 1st in League, still in CL & Cup. 1x6* & 19x5* now playing variations around 3-1-2-1-3. AQ 57.2.


Very happy with 18 y.o. 0T neg buy.
