He's always playing in 4-4-2 hard attack, tried 4-5-1V in the begin of the season and doesn't work, also 4-1-2-1-2ND it seems not very effective anymore.

What do You suggest to beat this team?

I read somewhere here in the forum that 3N-2-2-2-1 butterfly or 4-2-2-2 hexagon could beat 4-4-2, what do You think?

4-3-1-2 or 4-3W-2N-1 works for me against 4-4-2. You can always go with 4-4-2 ND or 4-3-3

I think he means 4-3N-1-2 still playing through the middle to counter him playing the flanks. I have tried this & won but only by 1 goal each time so be careful.
