Cup defeats but I'm still trying to understand how??

Thanks. I may not have played 4-4-2 from the start but I certainly attacked the wings, and also changed formation during the game (and even have used 4-4-2 during the first game) but it didn't make the slightest difference. This is why I tried the 4-5V-1 in the 2nd game. Bottom line is I spent 30m and tokens galore improving my team on the first day and then get beat by an "inferior" team so easily. Maybe I should try an illegal formation to test out the effectiveness?
