Should there be a limit to how much real money you can spend?

I am a big fan of top eleven and I'm in my fourth season. My team is doing quite well at the moment (touch wood) but I never seem to have many tokens to bid for better players or speed up builds etc. so I'm sometimes tempted to buy tokens with my real money or get free tokens via tapjoy. This is all very well and good but, to really get any serious tokens from tapjoy you have to spend money on some subscription you don't want or need and it's £70 if you want enough tokens to improve every player and build the best stadium possible. Who can afford £70 these days to throw away for a game on your phone? You May say it's the same for everyone you have the choice to spend your own money in the game if you want to, but here's my problem, some people take it to the extreme spending £100's plus of their real money on making their team the best on the game absolutely unstoppable, having the best stadium etc. I don't think this is fair on the rest of is who simply cannot compete because we can't afford to shell out on tokens, I think there should be a limit to what you can spend in the game so it's fairer for everyone. Maybe it's just me who thinks this, what do you think?

I`m season 22 and level 18 and i`v never spend a penny, so it is possible to get a very a good squad without spending ( just call me Arsene Wenger ) even though i`m a Liverpool fan :)

The game is designed to make money for the developers, you need to remember that.
Capping the spend would be like a casino telling you top leave because you'd lost too much.
Enjoy the game, but it will get very frustrating sometimes as you get promoted and continually meet token buyers.

I understand what both of you are saying, there's a player who is level 4 same as me his team are worth £60m+ Every single player including his subs and reserves are at least six or seven stars he has won every single game of the season (obviously) and I think that's unfair. I know the game is developed to make money I just think there should be fairer rules a bit like in real life football they've brought in fair play rules and fine teams who spend money like it's going out of fashion.

then you have run into a token scout buyer, they want instant success rather than build team, so my advice is don`t friend then to hopefully avoid next season ? if you meet next season then tank ( no promotion) so you will aviod in the new season but save skill point`s for new season that way you are stronger

I keep meeting them in the campions league so I'm never going to win it I got to the final last season only to be beaten by someone who spent loads of money it takes the fun out the game for everyone else who is playing it the decent and proper way building the team from grass roots up that's the whole idea is it?

Sadly, in top eleven like modern football, the most successful teams will by and large mainly be those that spend stupid amounts of money.

I don't feel the game is worth spending money on it. The engine is flawed and there are too many bugs and problems with the game, which is also limited in both what it does and how it comes to those conclusions.

I feel the developers have a decent enough game here for people to play for free but until they fix and improve the amount of bugs, as well as improving what appears to be some appalling customer service, then in my opinion they don't deserve people spending money on the game.

The only time I have parted with cash for Tokens has been when doing third party offers (I opened a new betting account up and got 600 Tokens for doing so) for things that I have actually wanted.

I completely disagree with you. It's their money and they can spend as much as they like.

And will you pose an UPPER LIMIT on money spend in the game if you were the owner of a game. I guess NO.

Unfortunately, There will never be any limits to how many tokens someone may purchase in T11 since that's how Nordeus make their cash...

However. On the forum, We run a "Forum Players League" where it's members agree to play on the minimum token budget allowed which is 35T a season on TV rights only.

It wouldn't make sense to limit on spending money.

But allowing to train players to 9 stars is ridiculous.

Limit at 6 stars max and it'd make sense.

If you wanna with with 9 star players, don't play a FOOTBALL MANAGER game!

It's a tough question man. I was like you my first season, I didn't want to spend real money on a game. I end up winning the league anyways. But then in the 2nd season i put in $100. And those money have made my team very good. I win easily over lvl 4-5 people. It's all about how fun you think this game is. I mean - some ppl buy xbox game for those money, or other stuff. I don't buy anything because i am not a technique nerd. So $100 bucks for me is nothing. But for those money you get yourself a dream team in T11.. atleast in season 2 as i am in now. Anyways (it is unfair that token buyers and none token buyers play in the same leagues and competitions.)

Yes I know. The best and most fun way to change the whole system would be to completely take away tokens. You buy players from the money you got. Just as in real football. U can bid as much as u want as long u got money for it. Tokens destroys the game according to me.

I'm pretty sure that the other managers in the same competitions will have similar quality players, so really it makes no difference if you are competing in a League of 3 star teams or 9 star apart from the fact that the 9 star competitions are likely to have more active managers in. Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone who knows about this.

IMO, league teams are not chosen by quality. If you have a team full of 9* players, 99% chance you will be the only one with 9* players in the whole league. The rest will be 3* 4* and a few 5*.

Well anyone can play anyway they want. If they wanna win with a team of 9*, sure. But where's the fun? :)

If that's the case then yes, I'd agree with you, that it's probably more fun to try and win against opponents of a similar level.

She is lvl 31 and i bet she has walked the long road. If you are active, its no reason why she wouldn't have 9* star players. I'm on my way to get 7* players and i am only lvl 2. Not 31 as she is.

Well, i used those for iphone and t-shirt since i was going to fix that anyhow. And my gf is a successful hairdresser so she will order "cards" same there - why not do it from the page since that is one of the offers. It doesnt mean that i farm tokens. But instead of order those things normally, why not do it from the page if u get free tokens? It's not like I live on that offer page lol :) If i want tokens, i buy them. NP.

Does it look like I've got 22 players at 9*?

Besides I have a major competitor that also has 7,8,9 stars players in his team too.

What you should ask yourself is what your target is each season?

Is it worth spending money to achieve a pixel on a screen that says you have won a virtual trophy or not?

I do think that without spending any money or even farming it is quite easy to be competitive enough to finish in a top 7 position most seasons, with maybe a season of tanking or failing every few months.

What you should think about is if you are level 10 for example, you could literally spend thousands on a team to get every player to be 9 star - yet someone at level 13 who has never spent a single penny would be able to have a better team than you. Someone at level 20 would have a better team than you regardless.

At the top end of the server teams are being denied promotion due to there not being enough teams to create a higher league. If you get past level 30 then chances are soon you are going to be held back due to this. So the question should be is it worth spending money on a game where the top level is still achievable for everyone over time without spending money - and spending money won't get you to that top level any quicker?

The game has too many faults in it to make it worth spending money on in my opinion. I could understand someone spending the odd £10 here or there for a bit of fun, but when I see some people who have devoted a hell of a lot of money to get teams full of 9 star players I actually think its quite tragic. I had a team in my league a few seasons ago that did that. He finished first in the league, I finished second. We both got promoted. 4 months later he has given up and his team is now a dead one. The money he spent on that team to get that first place is now nothing but a waste.

I think it's important to remember that, no matter how good the teams you face in the league/CL, the Cup puts you against teams of a similar quality (squad, not first team) so you have a chance to win a trophy.

It's also important to remember that 'scout' list players will stay in your team 4-5 seasons, at the most, if you are getting promoted every year and aim for a 5* squad by the end of each season. Therefore, if you're spending $100, that puts you ahead of your competitors for a couple of seasons, but then you need to spend another $100...

If that's how you choose to spend your money, good for you. I'll feed my son, decorate my house and farm the tokens, because that's my priority. My friend spends £70 on here every month, without fail. We're in the same league/CL and he beats me, maybe, 60% of the time. But it costs him a lot to do it.

The crucial thing to remember is that having the best team doesn't guarantee success...a fact which upsets many T11 players. And 'scout' list players aren't guaranteed performers, either. There are, so they say, around 15% of these players who are duds. I've had several. It's annoying, but it's the game.

Also, I'm willing to bet those who spend more money on tokens get more injuries (a leveller in the game) and buy more treatments.

But I agree that there should be no limit. I've never seen a maximum spend sign in a shop and that's what the T11 token tab is.

You want FFP in T11? Try telling that to Nordeus! Are you Arsène Wenger?

FFP is more about debt and cash flow that strict expenditure cap. Afaik FFP already exists in T11. T11's FFP allows debt only within a fixed time period and if not settled assets are sold.

F2p and p2p co-exist across the game world and f2p can be competitive when its accompanied by time/farming.

For f2p and p2p you must find your level and play to it. There should be caps on spending but those should be personal ones - folks that overspend either quit or remain unsatisfied.

I do spend $100 for each season. But you talk about feeding your son? 100 bucks is money for 8 pizza in Sweden. Not alot of money, and i don't mean that ur gonna feed ur kid with pizza :) Everybody play differently, I for example doesnt buy red packs because then all realism dissapears. And i dont train my players to 9*. I buy myself good players and then i train them normally. And my goal is to only have youngsters which i do right now and its only my 2nd season, so i probably wont even need to hand in more money for season 3 since my team i have atm would do good there aswell.

there are a team in my champions league 8 stars and i'm just level 2
he squashed a team 12-0 on his the Opponent land
if i go to the final i will lost from him

I'm beat a team who is 6 stars and i'm just 3 in the league 5-0 difference was Limited you can win if you put the right tactic

It's not. This is how T11 is designed and everyone knows this is the case from the outset, If you don't like it then your clearly playing the wrong game. If Token-Buyers and Non-Buyers were all separated to play in different competitions, It will end up defeating the object of actually buying tokens because you would have to play all the stronger teams once tokens were bought.

Well... Put it this way, You want a cap on how many 1 can spend on tokens is similar to FFP.

If I want 9* players then I will get 9* players.

I agree with:cool: you but the difference should be Limited not 3 stars facing 9 stars It's like Comoros vs spain
3 stars facing 7 stars 3 stars can win but 3 facing 9 ????:confused:

Also guys, keep in mind the Quality differential gets smaller and smaller as you level up. As in, on level one a three star player is 10 Q, and an excellent, 20.. obvious huge diffence. But at level fourteen, a three star is 75, and an excellent 85.. and so on up..

Some of us are actually playing and enjoying the win, draws and losses rather than b1tch1ng.... so pipe down!
