Thai Team 0-8 July Fourth League Round 11
"This is ridiculous" was the expression from the press and July Fourth manager had said this evening after this one... The home side started off with the first chance but missed it, Then Papaleo played a perfect ball to Mensah to fire us into the lead, Fraile for the home side got 1v1 against our goalkeeper for a great chance to equalise and Murphy was the winner there, then it got stupid for the rest of the first half... P.McNamara scored from 20 metres and Papaleo put P.McNamara 1v1 on their keeper 4 minutes later and he scored again, Zidane then added another on the half hour, Kevin Mensah Punished the home team after fouling Zidane just outside the penalty area with a free-kick, Papaleo was on target just before half-time to give us a 6-0 lead at half time, The second half was rather anti-climax of the game and our 2 other goals came late on by Kevin Mensah scoring another free-kick and getting his hatrick, then there was a corner from Novotny in the 89th minute... and how headed in the ball in for 8-0... Kevin Mensah!!!
Goals: Mensah (15,35,87,89) P.McNamara (25,29) Zidane (30) Papaleo (41) MOTM: Mensah... who else!
Funny that Pricop's contest ended for the midfielders scoring the most goals just recently, then Mensah does this... lol
Result Just In...
Steaua Siret 4-0 NONKRAVAN FC... That means we will face Steaua Siret in the last 16 of the Champions League knock-out phase, this is going to be a very tough tie non the less, not a scout buyer, but they have a full squad of 5* players through the team. Their average is 91.8 (compared to our 98.4), July Fourth will have to go the more difficult route to win the Champions League this season.
The first leg is at Islington Park, London on Sunday night and the return leg in Bucharest on Tuesday night, Their manager was present at the last deciding group game. SO this is a tough game, Their formations vary from 4-1-2-1-2 wide diamond, to 4-3W-1-2 and 4-1-3W-2. So they don't have a static formation.
For the jackals game tonight, we have decided we are not going to 'throw' the game since we probably would be wasting lots of valuable green boosters needed for power training, Peter Killerich was due to start but was injured in training earlier, Ramirez starts instead of R.McNamara and Rocastle is in for Zidane, Savage is in for suspended Mensah. We have 3 players out injured.
Nice 1-3 CL win.... although technically meaningless Newark City ends group stages as the only
squad to amass 15 or more points... plus some B-siders got some playing time...
VERY uncomfortable League tussle.... no problems with possession, just couldn't get off the shots....
scoreless until late... then finally having no more of it... in the 84' Cosgriff and Scanteie pushed all the way forward...
And with an uncanny give-and-go were able to end the drought.... City quickly followed with the insurance
tally... 2-0 good guys....
End of the day, we sit 3rd in league, 1pt above 4th and in striking distance of 2nd....
We will be playing the active Mrbom FC in the next round of the Champions League.
He is known for playing weird formations but they seem to do the job well... Hmm, interesting. He played 3W-1-3W-2N-1 in his last game... WM or the 3N-3W-2-1-1 should beat that
Stacey.... No good at free-kicks.... Not half the player from Season 13.
July Fourth 4-0 Jackals - Papaleo 3 assists and a goal. L.McNamara Injured for 6 days, Zidane had to come on and scored, Vasko got a brace... Not too bothered about a full match report since this a dead rubbergame.
Friday Report.
LGE: SVET FC 3-3 LONDON CITY
It was an early (9am), start for us, out in Bulgaria, and I think the players were still half asleep. We found ourselves a goal behind on 3 occassions, before finally getting a draw to keep our unbeaten record, in the league. Trailing 0-1 at the interval, Lukas Duran got our first equaliser (57'). After falling behind again, once more we equalised through Seamus Flanagan (77). It looked like a defeat was on the cards, when Svet took the lead for the 3rd time, with 10 minutes to go, but Dave Kennedy saved the day with a blistering strike, right on 90 minutes. Our defender, Brian Gibbs took MOM.
CL: LONDON CITY 3-0 GM2FC
Although we had already qualified, this was still an important game against the already eliminated opposition. We needed a win to top the group. Anything else and we would be 2nd and facing a tougher match in the knockout. After a nailbiting goalless first half, the lads found their rhythm and the goals flowed from Hector Morgada (67), Luigi Mancini (75), and Rudolph Mueller (89). Mueller also received the MOM:
We are still top of the league, but now by only 1 point, and with a match against 2nd place, up next. A win for us then, could be vital. In the Champs League, we have finished top of our group, and are awaiting which 2nd placed team we will meet in the first knock-out stage. Newish signing, Larry Redknapp made his first appearance as a 64th minute substitute in the CL game.

He has hit 50 quality!
The lads from Massie Lodge made a midnight journey to the Netherlands whilst their manager slept soundly back at home in Oz, who on awakening, was most pleased to see a great 0-3 away completed. The win left the Green & Gold 2pts clear at the top of the Level 8 League table. In the next 3 League matches we play the teams running 2nd, 5th & 3rd so these 3 games could decide our seasons fate. Should we finish with 9 points from the 3 games, we will be looking good to annex the title.
A rather shock result in the final CL group match. The lads flew straight from the Netherlands to London for this encounter where we set defensive & counter tactics in a game that meant nothing as the number 1 spot in the Group had already been safely secured. Leading 1-0 at half time then going up 2-0 in the 47th minute & still leading 2-0 with 5 minutes remaining, unbelievably our English opponents netted twice in the final 4 minutes to snatch a most undeserved draw. I really have to shake my head at some of these results.
Some very strange things happeneing with the game engine at present.
In a meaningless last group match Kneipenkick won 3-1 vs. Lepok FC from Kamerun (2nd in table). Guido Kunz scored all three goals (9., 15., 59.) for the home side, Belal made the final 3-1 for Lepok (87.).
CL standings (level 2):

Ravers maintained their 12 point advantage in the league with a 6-0 win against Schalke.
Another injury was sustained, another MF player; Sherwood.
Pardue (aka Pepp) put in another fine MOM performance with a hat trick; with Parkes bringing up the fourth, Ronnie Clayton also getting two from DMC.
Ravers get a break in the league tomorrow from the top five to take on bottom club Spal FC but not before we entertain my pal from Bali Keith; I have a score to settle, hard tackle the order of the day. :D
Last major signing for this season:

OK.... so here's our CL Knockout draw.... once again we got the best possible placement with the
exception of starting only once on the road...
The next tier of teams are all in the other bracket... meaning I only have to face one!
Attachment 2501
I've just seen my Champ League knockout draw, and I'm the 2nd rated team in it. The top team is in the other half of the draw, so I won't have to play him until at least the final. However, the same team is in my local league (he's 2nd, I'm 1st), and we play each other on Saturday afternoon at my stadium.
Champions League Last 16 Draw (Brackets)
We pay the price for not winning our Group D in the CL this season and handed potiental tough matches all the way through to the final, Our Last 16 is an active player who changes formations game to game and will be likely to watch both legs. We have nearly 7 quality on the 'best' other teams in the competition.

I will definitely kill this season... :(
League, round 12 - Romain FC 0-3 Perfect Tactics
Early game today and we go 10 points clear at the top of the table for now although it wasn't a huge win. Mata put us 1-0 up from a corner then he got his 2nd a few minutes later, Suarez setting him up for 2-0. In the 2nd half, Suarez gave us a 3 goal advantage after being put through on goal. Crawford should have made it 4-0 but his shot went wide.
Goals: Mata (29', 40'), Suarez (49')
MOTM: Mata
Btw what is up with shots off target lately... Getting way too many of those.
The hell lol. Played only 1-0 in the League against a weak Team xD
My QL 38.8 vs 21.8 QL very close game for such a difference o.o
Chronicles from the Eagles...the going is getting tougher! We bearly hang on to marginal leads these days in the league. Managed to get a 4points separation after 12 games.! To be honest, our players are fatigued and the manager is weary. Oh, and the grand conspiracy to dethrone us in the league...or is it just figment of our imagination? Sometimes we confuse one with the other. What a common denominator...injuries is the name of the game. Playing in 3 competitions, we already lost counts of the litany of injuries...another conspiracy from the developer to ruin this game...
Alas! although already struck down injury a couple of times this season and slowed down by hard tackles and man marking...still the only goodies in the camp is the sight of P Crawford going hard at the opponents defence...need I say more? We shall soldier on...still a very long season
July Fourth 7-0 Ac Milan Cup Last 16, 2nd Leg (July Fourth win 14-0 on Aggregate)
July Fourth won easily vs lower league Ac Milan by the same scoreline that was in the 1st leg, We had to wait over 30 minutes for our first goal mind after Papaleo was being easily dealt with by Barrena from the Opponents, It was L.McNamara that hit a first half brace first a long shot, then a header from a Novotny corner to give us a 2-0 lead at HT, Vasko hit one from long range for 3-0 just after the restart, Papaleo set up the advancing Tony Adams from defence to power it past the keeper, Vasko then was 1v1 against the keeper but past it back to Mensah to put it in a empty net, Zidane gave us a moment of brilliance from AMR to smash it into the top corner, Vasko then tried another long range shot and the keeper could not reach it and keep it out, Ac Milan missed 2 good chances at the end to grab a consolation goal.
Goals: L.McNamara (34,41) Vasko (46,81) Adams (55) Mensah (60) Zidane (70) MOTM: L.McNamara.
