Of course you can just pour real money into the game and get all 8~9* and hope for the best. The game isn't kind enough that an extreme quality difference is surmountable by strategy, unless extreme luck happens (as even 9* player may get a form of 4 and ruin the team).

But if you can say you know the game, you should win titles with lower quality players compared to your opponent. Of course you can't do it all the time, like rolling dice there is nothing for sure but I could say my chance to win is slightly bigger because the dice is biased towards my favour.

This is a player with extremely bad motivation, you have three options:

-sell him and buy another

-stick him on the bench for three days or more, later only sub him in half match for testing. Unless he gets a 8 playing half time don't put him on the starting lineup again.

-train him using 2 green packs a day for a week or more. This is the fastest and most reliable way to fix a bad form player but it cost at least 10 green packs.

I had 2 seasons with players taken 4-5-6 on every match.
Now in this season i really got weakers team and still have bad games but i am winning because they are really weakers.
