    My answer to you.

This game relays on being a good simulation of the real game.

    Manage so.

As for these other negative answers, unfounded statistically unproven opinions. My opinion would be, unless the Devs come up and admit to these so called only for show or design features are useless, and they are really a bunch of baboons smacking on a keyboard, and cant factor in height, weight, footedness and Captainship morale And nothing matters what ever you do.. SO go to hell.

I would design your team as if these details mattered.... doesn't hurt.

Get the big Defenders and left/left and right/right, old-timer reliable guys make good captains.... Good Luck.

    1. I believe Captain has nothing to do with performance. If someone makes a test, playing with the same team against the same opponent, with the same conditions, ten times (friendly games) and having as captain the best player (in 5 games) or having as captain a medium player (the other 5 times) and show the results, then I 'll be convinced that captain does matter.
Everybody just put as a captain an old player, a high q player or a favorite player.
2-3. Use of foot or height. I never noticed something that affect the behavior of my players. They are cosmetics.
    4. I believe that also doesn't make any difference. I had a free-kick specialist with both feet and I was reading some comments that it wasn't his favorite side . Also had another player and in the same season some comments were talking about his favorit position while others saying the opposite

ps : there is about 1 M' players, with 20 players each team + players from TM. If every player had special characteristics, the program would need ages to log and run.

It all depents on how strong youre players are
1.)Captain i always do my oldest best player
2.)doesnt matter i usualy do right foot left Side and left on right Side but importants is do youre best fk specialist
3.) i mostly buy expensive onces And make them arial but now i cant train SA anymore so bad it is
4.) i would do THE inverse best players

I look for a Good performer that makes good decisions = ratings and Creativity, but if it seems not to work for that top guy I promote next top. Is it true? Who knows, it amuses me.
2-Should i consider the foot of player when putting him in a certain position ? it means should i put in DL post a left footed player ? what does it add ? or left or right doesn't matter ?
I look for right or either footed players for DR and MR or L for opposite equivalents. But if a R-footed DL is on the market with good ratings then I'm not going to miss the chance of a 'Tommy Gemmell' But ultimately if they don't perform they're out.
3-Should i buy defenders and attackers with 1 m 90 cm height or + so they score and defend better with their heads ?
I don't really bother - if it makes a difference then an easier game mechanic to implement would be using a 'performance factor' based on balance between height and weight - much simpler to implement in code than actual height factor and therefore more likely imo. But I don't buy fatties or weaklings even if it means I might miss out on Der Bomber. (Apologies to the Mass-ively challenged)
4-Corner and free kicks takers , should i put a left footed player to shoot left freekicks same for corner or the inverse ? or it doesn't matter too ?
Although, if I was a real manager I might encourage a rightie from left and leftie from right for both CK and FK as a starting point, I find same foot/side appears to be better in the game. Commentary does support this preference but having a rule or Commentary bias doesn't matter - outcomes do. If its not working for a player change it, if its still not working change him.
There are no general rules that fit all - Observe.

I have a starting point with the issues you raise, indicated above, but if it doesn't work then I try something else.

eg Strikers I might start with a rightie ST on the right - if he does well or badly I try on left. I either end up with a player that I feel I know where to play - either or both or one I know can't play, sell and try again. Same for CK and FK.

But, for my last 6 STs I've had 1 leftie that only performed on right - 3 others were/are either footed (2 performed both sides other I don't remember) and 2 righties performed on the right.

I'm not even going to go into the whole "Can a player be better in Cup or League or CL or combo or......" >.<

Rules only work if you see the performance to back it up.

And no-one here can say for definite - its not an mmorpg where you see the outcome of each action and can calculate - so go with your gut/hunch/opinion of others and test/observe.

My philosophy is to think of this game as more like pnp dnd with hits n misses, successes and failures, bonus and penalties and a dm(/commentary) that tells a story over the top.
You don't actually know whats happening but its a nice bit of entertainment to play along with and enjoy.

Simply just for the fun of the game. Nothing more, nothing less.

Clearly no one have definite answer.

Even though I have my thoughts on these questions, I believe most of these factors are irrelevant in T11 because this game's logic should be much simpler than PC football manager games. Otherwise the servers cannot handle million of users/teams.

Anyway, creator of this thread played 11 months and should have his/her ideas. Please kindly share.

They are not design-only, all these factors do matter. The foot, the age, time in the team, and even which players play nearby in the formation - that affects performance of the given player. There's much more dependencies and nuances in this game than anybody knows about, including even the developers. Nordeus keeps very good secrecy where each developer knows only small part of the whole picture, and very few, if any, see it in full.

The problem is their decision to make it all a mystery (an important keyword in their philosophy) to the users, and allow each user to discover everything by experience. They think, doing otherwise would make the game too boring and calculated, plus the fact that you can't calculate much in real life either. But when your fully prepared team with top morale and health loses 0:3 to the team 10 points weaker, whose manager did not show up, which got red card and two injuries that were not replaced, Nordeus expects you to be excited by the wonderful unpredictability of it, so relax and enjoy - exactly like several people have suggested in this thread.
