A good day for supporters at the Stade de Rouen as they sang well after the final whistle blew as Olympique Rouen head to their 3rd straight Champions League finals appearance with the club keen to break through this season after the crushing losses at the end of the past two seasons.

The game was a tense scoreless affair for the first 40 mins while OR controlled possession and had the lions share of the chances. It was the 2nd caution of the day against the opponent that led to the games first goal. Mikkel Sorensen was tripped up just outside the box with the ref quickly producing the yellow card. Wilson Sanchez bent the ball around the left side of the wall and into the top corner for the opening goal.

Right after the restart OR took possession, Sorensen flew down the right flank and fed in a perfect cross onto the head of Sanchez as Rouen made it two goals in just over a min leading to a 2-0 halftime score.

After surrendering a 3 goal lead in the first leg there would be no taking it easy in the 2nd half and the home team kept the pressure on although failed to produce another goal for first half hour of the 2nd half. But in the 77th min OR broke through with a sublime finish by Henry playing from the AM role. 6 mins later a Rouen corner was placed perfectly by the Chilean winger Sebastian Rocha onto the head of Sorensen to make it 4-0. Les coqs gaulois were not finished yet as once again Henry placed a sensational strike into the far corner past the helpless keeper in stoppage time to finish off the 5-0 rout.

So Olympique Rouen advanced 8-3 on agg for their 3rd straight finals appearance and made it a perfect 9/9 in two legged ties in the CL over their 3 years in the competition. But as good as they have been up to this point, they have been equally poor finishers and the only victory that matters to the club is the final.

The final will take place tomorrow at 2038 GMT. OR is favored by almost exactly the same margin as they were in the semi finals. Having controlled that tie will bring a lot of confidence for the side from Upper Normandy. The only struggle in the semi final came in the 2nd half on the road and they have not conceded since that point in any competition outscoring their 4 opponents by a combined 27-0 in those four matches.

Today the club can win the League title for the 2nd year in a row and 3rd time in 4 seasons with win at home against their opp from Egypt . In their first meeting Rouen dominated on the road for a 7-1 victory although their opp have had a good run of form since and have already locked up their spot in the Champions League lvl 5. They currently sit in 4th and are 3 points shy of 3rd place.

this made things easier for me, with a solid defense and striking back with counters.
He got a red card /penalty and the party begun

so, we're still for the treble
Stupid tactics from your opponent. well countered and played

when he conceded the 2nd goal, he changed to 4-3w-3 (and probably attack ment.) . That's a move that most of the managers do and it's butter on bread for the 4-5-1 def/counters. I don't agree with that.
The second mistake was that after loosing his player, he set 3DC instead of 3 defenders wide.
But, you know, the pressure is high and the clock is ticking

    Update on my end.

The main match saw Rhondda Rovers play the Cup final against San Lorenzo early afternoon. To sum up the match in one word, ****. We were outplayed and I got tactically outdone against a 4-1-2-1-2 formation. We deservedly lost as only two players got a decent rating of 7. Such a shame to get so far against higher level teams, only to get done easily in the final.

In the League, it was business as usual as we hammered Emilion 7-0 at home with a mixture of reserves and first team players.

    July Fourth Win The League

We won 15-0 today against the backmarker taking our lead in the league to 6 points with a GD advantage of +19, With remaining fixtures there is no way the title can be lost now so it's safe to say we have won the league except if you're a mathematician.

Julian Silva playing as AML in this match with his free kick special ability equalled the club record by scoring 6 times in the match.

We only have the Champions League final tomorrow evening to decide if we will win another treble this season.

League: Yesterday, I posted I entered today tied for first in the league. I failed to notice our competitor had lost vs 5th yesterday, hence the battle for 1st saw us entered today's match with a 3 pt lead atop the standings. We disposed of them with a 2:0 victory at home. We need just a draw to clinch the league and travel to the cellar dweller tomorrow.

Olympique Rouen are crowned League Champions today after a 5-1 victory against the 4th place finishers. This win left OR 7 points clear with two games remaining for all clubs.

Champions League final is all that is left of consequence. Although the team has no plan to rest the teams star players over the final 2 league games as they currently occupy all 5 of the top goal scorers spots in league and have the leaders and runners up in all 3 major categories.

AEPRE FC won the Champions League

Players and fans alike who have gathered at the sold-out Ali FC Stadium, as well as the designated screening at AEPRE Arena, or watching at home through any broadcasting media and platforms are all celebrating, just like the manager himself, who ended the wait for a Champions League title for 2 days short of the full 24 months by defeating a much weaker Arsenal FC 7-0. Since the original AEPRE FC defeated Cristian FC in the final on May 3, 2013, the manager have struggled trying to add his 2nd title into his name, losing 3-2 in the Season 4 final, knocked out in the semifinals one season later, and Season 7. He also reached the semis with AEPRE FC 35, but knocked out in a dramatic way. Perfect Tactics in their Season 3 and its final season of the rebirth, lost the finals that ended up in a big rage. But now, he can begin his celebration and eyes for the future after the next season, where the team will take their break.

AEPRE FC have a difficult knockout stage, for conceding 3-2 in the Round of 16 1st leg aganist Gala Gala FC, but managed to return home and won 2-1 by away goals. As well as in the semis, they faced CD Kraff, who are 2nd best team in this tournament. In the 1st leg, they conceded early in the 13' at home, but Frederick Aboagye managed to equalizes, leaving CD Kraff only with an away goal advantage. They then proved that they are the most appropriate team to be in the final by winning away 2-0 in front of CD Kraff's manager and his power supporting manager.

AEPRE FC and Arsenal FC both have a fair share of chances, but not until the 29' where Arsenal FC's Bogdan Botoser made a mistake in controlling the ball, allowing Shaun Hughes to cruise through the defense, until the defending team's DL Niklas Hoffman made a bad tackle in the box, the referee were left with no choices other than sending him off and awarded AEPRE FC a penalty, Hughes steps up and puts it into the back of the net. Seven minutes later, Pavel Sochocki found Hughes, he passes before Hughes made a quick-fire shot, and that is the score for the 1st half, 2-0.

In the 58', after each team take their chances on long-ranged shots that were all blocked by defenders, Botoser is the one who led Arsenal FC to another goal conceded again, this time he fouled an attacker, he left with a verbal warning from referee, then Alfie Deyes crosses the ball in from the free-kick, Jakub Borak heads it into the back line, Sochocki then scores with a header from Hughes' corner.

Deyes scored in the 63' from an assist by Hughes. Deyes then runs through the defender, and assisted Jim Chapman in scoring in the 71'. He also assisted Bartra after a very solid run in the 79'.

The final goal comes from Joscef Bajnok's header from Hughes' corner kick in the 86'

The captain Pavel Sochocki is the one who lifted the trophy for the team.

After the game, the manager have said: "I have said a lot about trying not to become overconfident. Because sometimes if you're overconfident, it will let to the failure. For over 24 months of me waiting for a Champions League title, so many semis, so many finals, we always think that the job is done. We learnt our lesson through our previous failures, and we managed to use those very well to win this for us. I wanted to thank you to all the fans, the team, and everyone who made it possible".
