Palace teams report, Friday...
Desert Rats FC were at home against a lower-placed team in the table, and boosted their goal-difference greatly with an 8-0 win. Striker Lorcan Ivory has stepped up to the plate in the absence through injury of primary goal-getter Albert O'Toole, scoring a hat-trick, with fellow striker Steve Haddou and left-winger Chris Passmore putting the Rats 5-0 up by the 66th minute. A brace from right-winger Plamen Atanasov and a late goal from central defender Franck Da Silva completed the scoring, goalkeeper Davide Sonaglia was merely an interested onlooker in his 50th appearance for Desert Rats, who also suffered another injury, this time to central midfielder Jose Carlos Matias.
An injury- and suspension-ridden Palace Terriers side managed to overcome their mid-table opponents at home, 2-0. With central midfielder Aaron Record playing AML, and second-string players in several other positions, it took a couple of early second half goals from striker Waldemar Sanchez and right-winger Julien van der Plas to seal the win.
Palace Casuals were at home in another bottom-of-the-table clash and this time came off the wrong end of a 1-2 defeat. Central midfielder Mustapha Haouli put the hosts in front after only 9 minutes, but the visitors had equalised by the break. The rest of the game balanced on the two injuries in three minutes that Casuals incurred just after the hour, when first Konstantin Kirchev became the second striker on the medical bench, and then central midfielder Paul Clayton joined his compatriot on the sick-list. The resulting unbalanced side then conceded a second goal by the visitors which they were subsequently unable to counter.
