Palace Teams report, Black Tuesday...
Palace Casuals started their Champions League programme with a 1-3 away defeat, Omar Hansen keeping up his new season goal glut with the 79th minute consolation goal. Away in the League, Casuals were on the wrong end of a seven-goal thriller match, going behind in the 3rd minute, but two goals in three minutes from Johan Shaqiri and a 5th of the season from Omar Hansen put the visitors up 2-1 by the 11th minute. An exchange of goals in the 18th and 21st minutes saw the hosts equalise and then Mario Dinamarca restore Casuals lead. The home side scored another equaliser in the 54th minute before breaking the stubborn defensive resistance of the visitors with a 90th minute winner, Casuals registering a 3-4 defeat.
Palace Casuals' League this season:
Palace Terriers started their League odyssey with a home 0-0 draw. Their League this season looks like this:
Desert Rats FC had a couple of strikers in from their Youth system this morning, signed both of them, but sold on the 2* player. Albert O'Toole, a 4*/21Q striker, was retained and immediately put to work, however he was given little chance to shine as his new team-mates put in two dire performances in the days' matches. First up was an away League match, and right-back Petr Wojtczak was assisted by O'Toole in scoring the opening goal in the 25th minute, however, three goals in 4 second-half minutes by the home side condemned the Rats to a 1-3 defeat. Desert Rats' first ever Champions League match was a shambles from start to finish. Unable to muster any creative effort, they crashed to a 0-4 defeat, spoiling Vinnie Taylor's 50th appearance (29 goals, 25 assists).
