Day 18 - Palace teams report.
Palace Casuals suffered at the hands of the Nordeus match engine, having a player dismissed after going 2-0 up and losing 2-3 away at 6th place. Midfielder Mario Dinamarca scored the first goal and then became the naughty boy of the piece, after fellow midfielder Felipe de Vasconcelas Leite had slotted in the second. The Management was on the move and had a signal failure when he was in the process of adjusting the side to compensate for the missing man, and did not regain until the match was over...
Palace Terriers played their 6th place team away and had a better outcome, winning 4-2 with a hat-trick from left-winger Nikolay Radev and a final goal from substitute midfielder Christian Narvaez.
After a couple of late matches last night, the final draw for Terriers' Champions League Quarter-Final is complete:
Any formation or tactics advice given is based purely on experience with my teams...
Another positive day again and the teams look more and more similar despite using different tactics and formations. Winning Eleven gained another 3 points advantage against River Plate thanks to their defeat, but this shouldn't make us underestimate the other teams. We also easily won the qualification to the cup 1/2 finals! Lately every coach has been present, so again we can afford the final but never underestimate the opponent!
World United has slowed down a little as I was absent during the match, but we still keep a huge advantage in the league. And here as well we are in the cup semifinals!
2 teams, 6 trophies, let's see how far we can go!
Winning Eleven season records:
15 Leagues won : 1, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, 38 - Runner up: 8, 10, 15
9 Champions League won: 7, 9, 11, 19, 20, 21, 24, 31, 33 - Runner up: 15, 16, 26, 34
1 Super League won: 38
7 Cups won: 17, 18, 20, 23, 24, 33, 35 - Runner up: 9, 14, 34, 38
