Season 76 - Are you ready?

We managed to grab ourselves a 3-1 win aganist Marci FC. We're now 7th placed team with 42 points, just one more point and it will seals the promotion. Mathematically, we may still qualify for the Champions League but it is practically impossible as either 4th placed FC Kuba (47 points) and 5th placed Carlos FC (46 points) will be the two teams battling for the place.

Now, after this burning defeat in the cup final we try to regain morale to win the league, so we don't throw a "Bayer Leverkusen 2002" at this season.

With 3 days to complete my journey in T11, the trend of my team is interesting. I am not able to win 1 more league in this season. But I may still keep them in Top 4 in this final season.

The team won the 2nd placed team today, moved to 4th place, and is just 1 point less than the 2nd place team. It may move back to 5th place later today. But it has a good chance to challenge for runners up in league because it face weak teams in last 2 matches.

For the team started the season with 1W2D6L, I am delighted with the current 13W3D8L. The decision to acquire high quality but old defenders to upgrade the team seems correct.





Level 24 Beauty

In league, after losing 6 matches in a row, the team finally draw with the 3rd placed team today. It temporarily moved up to 4th place, but it unlikely stay in this position by season day end. I no longer interested on league now and even consider to allow the team to continue to break the losing record. But my team still need to compete CL Champion tomorrow. I cannot let the player form to worsen continuously.

I have already brought the first ever player through negotiation. I even consider to buy scout players but these are still not worthy in my opinion. I rather keep the token to change my team name, player names, stadium names, etc. before I will abandon my team in coming season.

But my defender and goalkeepers are really too inconsistent. I tried to buy some new ones through negotiation. If I am success to get new players, I may sell some young fast trainers to the agent. This is crazy.

BTW, the coming CL final will involve two teams from Group H. Maybe this prove again Group H is strong.

What a competition! Never give up is my only advice. After 8 games I was at 13th place with 3 wins and 5 losses. 2 rounds before the end I am winner of the league. OK....... weird but NICE! Never expected that. I am hardly mentioned in all the top 5's of players and my scoring has been sub standard with only + 32 goals. 8 games ago I was only at +13 goals. Strangest season ever. Now only the final left in the CL and I can call this season very succesfull again. The loss against a 3 level higher team in the cup is forgotten.

My second team is almost champion with 3 games to go and 7 points ahead. Things can happen though.

Despite the huge disappointment from Winning Eleven after losing another cup final, World United was able to throw an awesome match against a stronger team! 24.0 vs 27.2 and with an active manager. Playing defensively with counter attack through the center of the field was the key to victory right from the first half, and our opponent was never a danger.
Congratulations! Although I hoped to see my main team winning, but this is a sign that even if the team is stronger and richer it's only a matter of luck and playstyle. Surely this game knows how to award those who don't deserve it.

Reducing quality is the only way for stability. I've been there, always going out in prelims facing teams 3 levels above me while I had a 4* team.

You don't have to sell your whole squad, you don't have to sell your best players. If you keep 8 of your first 11, replace the other 3 with 3*s and have 3 3* subs and no more than 14 players you'll drop overall quality drastically and you will face fairer competition. Keep those 3*s as long as possible eventually they will be 1* and it will be better and better. As soon as day 3 comes I bid on negotiations for decent players who will appear as unwanted low quality to other teams. Fill up your subs, try to get players with more than one position.

I have a DC/DMC playmaker, DL, DC, DR def wall 31 year old, ML, freekick taker MC and a freekick taker striker. That is all I need.

I will have to sacrifice these players, even though the sub MC has over 10 goals.

Not sure I will try the next season, maybe other one. I didn't even planned to win 3 consecutive leagues, but apparently it just happened, I'd take a break, refill all the packs and try again.
I will do as you and others have suggested, but still I think it's a wrong way to play the cup, it should just be fixed.

Sorry I just vented a little 11 seasons, only 2 cup finals and 2 defeats at the PK, when in the meantime I win the other tournaments as I side effect.

@Tyltyl also never let go of the academy players. No need to even waste tokens to reduce Q. Usually a goalie, 2 defenders , one or two midfielder(s) (DMx-Mx) and 3 attacking players (AMx-ST) [ie 7 players] should be always present in most of the games. That's where multiposition players come handy. I tend to buy DL/DC, DC/DR the most since it's quite limiting for me. For that reason I'll let go of Kroos(DL), who's been in bad form for the last 10 days or so. The only single position players I'll recommend are DC, MC and ST. It's very hard to find multi position attacking players, so don't let go of them.
