Beware of 'trolling' in the 1/8 knock-out stage though. Sometimes, when things seem to easy, 'trolling' is not far away.

If it does not occur in the 1/8 stage, then it may occur in the quarter finals, but not likely in the semi finals this time. I am saying this based on some trends that I have observed. And when I say 'trolling', this means that even tactics will likely to fail; you will have the impression that nothing will seem to work as expected. Even if you managed to make your team score a few goals, the other team will reply back with more goals.

But, your team has not won this competition yet, so you might be less prone to such things.

I never used such a formation (not even something close to that) to play against a 3-4-3. What orders did you use?

Possible explanations for why he lost by such a large margin are more likely to be combination of those: wrong orders, inferior quality, players placed out of position and bad 'roll of the dice'. Your formation may also have countered his formation; I did a quick analysis of the formation to see how appropriate it might be for use against 3-4-3, and the result is decent.

I am still waiting for that and dribler and use one on one in action not penalty
