I have been beating ND with a 3n 1 4 2, but it seems like ND is much stronger. I have either lost or drew a ND this season. Just lost another match now with Golden Eaglets. I was a bit stronger

ND can be beaten by 4-3N-2W-1 espicially if you have strong winger and like you said 3-1-4-2 works well too since I have used it in my first season and won cup and league against some managers used ND

Sometimes it's Nordeus luck you have to do nothing
