Days 24/25 - Palace teams report.

Both teams have been running through the lower-placed teams, good wins abound...

Tuesday.

Palace Terriers played at home against 14th place, and due to their large Quality superiority, gave some of the reserves a run out. Luca Giovanni Pidutti netted 4 goals (seemingly un-noticed by the Assistant Manager), Samir Gross bagged a brace before going off injured late on, and Esneider Gil and Ronaldo Pigatto Baratto scored one each in an 8-0 win which keeps the pressure on the two leading teams.



Palace Casuals played away at 13th place and secured three points with a comfortable 6-0 win. Andre Faisca showed the Management he was still around and kicking with a hat-trick, Angelo Musto netted a double and Jack Auger tidied up with one at the death. Mihai Campean made his 100th official appearance for the Casuals, but with Association matches added he's made 104...





Wednesday.

Palace Terriers were away at 5th place, and gained revenge for a home defeat earlier in the season with a 3-0 win, MR Ahmed Moawad getting a double and Esneider Gil the last. After a short period without an injury, Terriers have now had two in two matches, Ronaldo Pigatto Baratto going off 7 minutes into the second period.



Palace Casuals played at home, hosting 14th place, and sent them packing after a 7-0 win. Angelo Musto netted a 1st minute opener before being injured in the 22nd minute, Alexandre Aldano scoring the resulting free kick. Maarten Weigman replaced Musto and took the opportunity to start a hat-trick, Aldano netting a second free-kick before Weigman added his second and third goals. Midfielder Andres Iniesta finished the scoring.

After the Buffs' 451v romping to victory against a slightly stronger 442 in the Semis, the Buffs now cant sit down after getting their arse spanked by a 442 in the final. 4-1 but it could've been worse.

Day 26 - Palace teams report.

Palace Terriers played at home in a 3rd vs 2nd match-up which the home side lost by a single goal. Unlike the Assistant Manager, the Terriers Management were not surprised by the result, only the manner in which it happened. Terriers can not now finish higher than third, or lower than 5th this season.






Palace Casuals played away at a higher-Quality 8th place team. Playing the 3N-2(DML/R)-3N-2 counter to 4-5-1V, the visitors found themselves a goal down early on and struggled to half-time with the score the same. The Management decided to replace an MC with AMC Angelo Musto in a bid to keep the home DMC quiet, and changed to attacking mentality in a win at all costs strategy. It took 11 minutes for this to bear fruit, the substitute evading the aforementioned DMC and slotting past the 'keeper to level the scores. MoM right-winger Jose Mateus combined with defender Graeme Millar in an intricate passing move which ended in the latter unleashing a long-range screamer past the home custodian, and top scorer Maarten Wiegman netted with the last touch of the match to make the final score 3-1 to the Casuals. With the 2nd vs 1st match ending in the favour of the home side, the situation at the top of the table has opened up again, and any of the top 5 can have a tilt at honours. The 3rd vs 2nd match tomorrow is now critical to Casuals' chances of the Championship.

Today we got defeat away, 2:1 we were expecting, they have a very good team.

But in any case we keep 4th place.



Tomorow we play 8th, a win can make a diference, since the last game is against 2nd, and with the title in play, he Needs to win.

Glory in style!
And not only this! David had a great day, but dislocated his ankle in league. Did his job though.
Third Cup in 11 seasons and first League in 11... and the first double too. And first time 100+ goals scored in league. And probably the first time less than 10 goals conceded in league. Undoubtedly the best season of the club so far. With no CL, we can focus on our association games the weekend. Hopefully win a 3rd competition too.

As is tradition, fail in treble again, wasted all resources witth Crystal Palace but, 1-2 with 2 fast goals.

Later Bayern play the final too. Then I will need a looooong rest.
