    Special abilities

It's weird when people make MC/ST learn corner kick specialist. They have bad crossing ability. Use winger. When you sell them, you might help people. Hope you guys understand this message.

    Sure, but a few things.

I am not sure how much the underlying ability (crossing only probably in this case) really matters and its a bit of a mystery as far as I understand how the special ability exactly works.

Nordeus has previously stated that a player with special ability gets 40-50 skill-points more. If that is still the case, what exactly does it mean? Is a skill-point in this case 4%? Is a skill point in this instance one more ability point?

For example, for a level 1 player, the later would mean that a player that is very poor at crossing the ball -- lets say that he has 50%, in other words the ability 12.5 -- will instead have the ability 12.5+40=52.5 or (52.5/25) 210%. And I mean, at least at the early levels, the set-pieces specialists are extremely good compared to to the other players when taking corners or free-kicks. On one of my accounts that are at lvl 2, my striker shoots the ball at almost 200% and that account does not have a FK specialist in its top 11, but he is not even remotely as good as a FK specialist with much lower shooting ability that I have on the bench at taking FKs.

If this is the case, it would mean that the Special Ability is worth more at lower levels than at higher levels. Like a player at the level where 160 in ability is worth 100%, would only get 25% better with an ability of 40 SPs. I am not at all sure that this is the case. Its also entirely possible that SPs instead in this case represents %, and that a player with a SA always get 40-50 x 4% better in the relevant areas. Meaning that a player with 50% in crossings would be a 250% crossing player when taking corners.

Or its possible that the SP works in some entirely different way, that it is carved out or something.

What is your guys experience, does it matter much if a player with a SA is really good in the underlying ability?

Azwanonly, sure it is not logical, and thus it is a mistake for someone who did something like this, but see the following.

    (1) Players with corner special ability and very high crossing ability still not able to make enough assists from corners.
    (2) Players with very high shooting and finishing missing a lot of chances (shooting high or wide).
    (3) Strikers don't need fitness according to the game, but goalkeepers do.
    (4) Players with very low shooting ability scoring goals like shadow strikers.
    (5) Players with very high speed being out-ran by players with very low speed.
    (6) Using hard attacking and attacking does not bring you any goal versus a much much weaker team; you switch to defensive and you get 7 goals.
    (7) You use odd order combinations like hard attacking and force counter attacks, high pressing and force counter-attacks or hard defending and high pressing, you will still win some matches and even dominate.
    (8) Goalkeepers taking corners and free-kicks like a specialist, assisting or scoring.

There are so many more odd things.

This game has no sense at all other than being a game set up for fooling people, making them to compete against each other and making money out of them, especially lately after what seem the company did some things that made the game gone backwards.

Before someone tries to come and justify things in this game or defend this game, I will advise him to make some tests himself by creating two new teams and put them to face each other several times and try to manage the teams, and make his own deductions.

Special abilities such as freekick & cornerkick is good but if the player is weaker, then it's not. Make your freekick specialist a captain. He will score more. With various skills, they have better scoring and control. It's a big difference with a player with no skill.

I just told you to go make tests instead of trying to justify or explain things here. If you don't want, then your loss.

Already done it, my striker is very bad at crossing but he has corner kick skill. Just lose my champion league match. Other player already learn other skill, that's why I stated that don't put cornerkick skill to ST/MC.

@Azwan, what you say sounds logical. So far I haven't found out yet if the SA has more value to a player or not. RIght now I have in my team a 95 Q MC who is almost as good as a 99Q MC with dribbler SA. I have a shadow striker AML who is scoring like mad and giving assists all over the place and is almost equal to the old AML with corner kick. Mind that my new AML does not take the corners. So for me, this is all just guessing. Top Eleven refuses to explain these things to us. I love the game but I wouldn't mind more clarification about these subjects.

What you said in terms of logic is good, that is not training say a player, P1 to be a corner specialist if he has poor crossing ability. I have been following such things for quite a while too. What I have said is that there is no sense in this game. You can do shitty things or have shitty, non-logical characteristics in players you have and still, you will win games and the players will appear to perform as long as the calculated outcome by game has been respected. Even goalkeepers will score goals or assist like a striker or an attacking midfielder. This game is shit. I have quit this game despite having around 145T still in the account, being 1st in the league and still in the Cup and Champions League this season. This says a lot.

(I modified my previous message to you because I think it was not appropriate)
