Season 84 - Are you ready?

I finally have a small bit of breathing room at the top of my league. Like everyone else, this season the league is very tight

If I was playing seriously mine won't.,...... We won cup games with both teams today....Even though flying eagles played against a team higher in level and quantity, they did well with a 2 - 1 and Golden eaglets had a 3 - 2win...wary if the away goals though

Dang, I had a real tough Cup game today (I was up 6%) with Al FC. Prepared really well, it would be played during lunch hour. Then the Boss walks in and starts chatting about everything and anything, 16 minutes later I log on to the game and found that I lost 3-2 at home in Leg 1. The other manager was present. I am not sure what happened really, but I started a bit cautiously and I just think I would have had this game had I been on. Had a very good option to make a substitution and move up my ML to AML and only focus my passing on the left side instead of going down both flanks, it has usually been very effective.

More or less needs to win by 2 in the 2nd leg, will be tough...

Haha, missed the 2nd leg too of course, thought this Cup was cursed for me. Was just well before the game picking up my kids that had been playing with friends, and the friends father had this mega project going on by himself so I had to help him pull a lot of heavy machinery up to the rafters of a barn for 2.5 hours...

But my guys PULLED THROUGH! The oppo manager was online, must be fuming. He had 114% vs my 116%.. But I am not really surprised, almost never have problems with 4-5-1(v). Not sure what happened in the 1st leg, but it makes a big difference being present or not I guess. Still, I was definitely lucky to win by the required 2 goals after my 3-2 loss at home. We were really close...

Today... it was one of this days, where the cup mysterious hit us...

We played away vs an 3 L higher opponent, who was 14% stronger. He played a formation, I never saw before (3w-3w-1-2n-1). I checked him, his players,...
We started perfect: 0:1 at 5', 0:2 at 20', suddenly we conceeded 1:2 at 27' (it was their 1.SoT) and 2:2'... at 50', we lost the lead 3:2... I thought WTF? oO they had only 3 SoT and made 3 goals... we managed the made a draw, 3:3, BUT we were overall the clear better team... they had only 4 SoT (9 for us)...

It's so... we played 28 games (incl. FA and friendlies) before that cupgame and conceeded just one goal. Our defenders and our keeper made so incredible good games... and suddenly the keeper saves nothing and the defence is so weak?


The good things:

I talked to my team. I wanted to know, what's going on, what are their goals, because this team made the triple. So, they already won the biggest competition. All of them looked at me... surprised (I think). They looked each other... it was quiet... the captain stood up and said: "Yes, WE - exactly this team, won the triple, once. Why we should take only one "triple" trophy, if we can take them twice?"

Some of the player won it 2 times, Kraxner won it all 4 times.

I see, they are motivated. I see, they are a team, a great team. They fight for each other, they motivate each other. They are a unit. F.E. Weigl is on the way to make some new records - 22 games played, 46 goals scored, 17 assists, 12 MoM, currently leading all leaderboards at league. And Costa? He doesn't matter, he assisted most of the goals from Weigl. And Kraxner, who lost all his records? He doesn't matter, he delivers passes, made assists, if another one has a better scoring position. Because they all want the triple, again.

Just tied the team record of most auction rounds for successful bid. The original record was set earlier in this season.



This is my last season. I want to try something new. So I decide to get my first shadow striker. At the same time, I wanted to enjoy bidding war and set a new record. It's bad that I failed.

I just spent 39 tokens in auction market for 2 players on same day. This is unbelievable to me before this season as I always treasure my tokens.

My next task is buying my first scout player. As I wasted many tokens today, the difficulty to accomplish this greatly increased.

The final task I set so far is more reasonable one - winning my second Cup trophy. I have already completely forgotten how I win a Cup last time.

Yesterday I was lucky to get a draw in league after my DC get a red card at minute 20, at the end i think I can be happy with the result.



In cup I faced a 2 levels below opponent, but he a have a full 7* team in his level, so his team is much stronger then mine.



I got a 1:1 draw at home, not looking good, but this is top11

Nash- How many stars are Weigl?

My monster performing AMC/FK specialist, that at some point was scoring close to 3 goals a game during a pretty big sample, has slowed down a bit this year. He is down to a low 7 stars at 22 y/o. I got him up to low 8s pretty low in the season previous years.
